Regional Controller

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

You will lead and manage one of the regions of a business unit, providing strategic accounting, FP&A, and commercial finance direction. Key responsibilities include:

• Business Partnership: Act as the financial business partner, offering commercial insight and bid financial support.
• AR Reduction Program: Drive initiatives to reduce accounts receivable and provide financial guidance.
• Financial Leadership: Lead the finance team to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
• Month-End Close: Oversee the monthly closing process and review income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Forecasting: Lead and review the monthly near-term forecasting process, maintaining all financial forecasts, including the 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Consolidation: Manage the consolidation process for the region.
• Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify and evaluate new opportunities and risks, communicating them to the corporate finance team and the CFO.
• Cost Monitoring: Advise regional leadership with various reports that contribute to monitoring the SG&A cost base.
• Controllership: Perform controllership duties, including assisting with audits related to regional compliance.
• Accounting & Controls: Execute company accounting processes and policies, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• General Accounting & Tax: Handle general accounting and tax duties, providing insight to corporate treasury with AP reporting and prioritizing payments.
• Budgeting: Lead the annual budget process for the region.
• Stakeholder Presentations: Prepare presentations for key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA, MBA, CMA preferred.
• Experience in energy / construction
• 10-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
• Proactive business leader capable of handling multiple tasks and challenges.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle
