The Opportunity


CAULIPOWER is hiring a Regional Sales Manager – West & Canada, who is experienced in CPG sales with knowledge of west regional grocery accounts (both conventional and natural such as Stater Bros., Smart & Final, Lucky/Save Mart, Nugget, PCC, Yoke’s, etc.), Canadian retailers, and distributors (such as UNFI, KeHE, etc.). You’re a collaborative self-starter with strong organizational, account management, and communication skills that works well independently and cross-functionally. You’re hungry to continue the growth of CAULIPOWER, are flexible, adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment. What You Will Do


The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for growing CAULIPOWER at West regional and Canadian retailers - building customer relationships, developing sales strategy, selling in innovation, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. The position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and proactively evolve go-to-market strategies that deliver sales, share and profit growth.
  • Partner with CAULIPOWER’s internal teams to build customer-specific sales presentations.
  • Manage pricing, promotions, terms negotiations and product mix within assigned budgets.
  • Validate promotional execution and utilize post-promo analysis to optimize promotional programs and trade ROI.
  • Own and update your forecast, promo plans and trade spend in Exceedra (trade management system).
  • Leverage syndicated and retailer specific data to provide internal and external stakeholders with insights to optimize category and brand performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand and Operations to ensure the “voice of retailer” is present throughout the new product development process by providing category insights, competitive intel, customer specific requirements and a blueprint for a successful launch.
  • Lead, train, and build a strong relationship with broker partners.
  • Regularly report on performance against plan, and broker performance management.
  • Manage customer & broker specific scorecards to monitor sales progress, identify and close sales gaps.
  • Actively participate in industry trade and customer shows.


Who You Are


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in retail sales and merchandising in the grocery industry.
  • Must have experience with regional grocers (conventional & natural) and broker management.
  • Relationships with customers are a plus. Experience managing accounts in Canada is a plus.
  • Proven and successful sales management track record
  • Experience with a trade management system, experience with Exceedra a plus.
  • Must be proactive, data-driven, an analytical thinker, and a creative problem-solver.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to influence internal & external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel for retailer and company meetings, up to 40% of time.
  • Must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (in CA or OR) and near a major airport.
