REMOTE Civil Engineer w/PE

Southeastern US speed architecture and engineering firm seeks a Civil Engineer to support key civil engineering projects around the country and world. What You Will be Doing:

• Performs engineering calculations and designs; collaborates with project manager to develop accurate accounting of direct labor hours required to complete projects
• Design and delivers construction documentation in a complete and timely fashion. Performs quality reviews on civil engineering plans.
• Develops detailed and complete multi-discipline cost estimates using RS Means or similar costs software
• Addressed issues affecting technical task work quality, project schedule, or budget and escalates unresolved issues to a higher level as needed.
• Direct engineering work to staff and assist when needed.
• Works with vendors, develops scopes of work, obtains bids and coordinates with subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepares field reports and correspondence (both electronic and paper) and documents appropriate information for use in the design and review process
• Works with the client and other technical staff on resource planning

Qualifications:

• BS in civil engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer is highly preferred
• Experience in site development and civil design supporting building construction/renovation
• Knowledge of Civil 3D required
• Located in the Southeastern United States (VA, NC, MD, GA, SC, TN, FL, AL)
• Travel up to 25% of time
