They are seeking a talented individual to help shape and fortify their accounting department as they continue to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Expertise: Become an integral part of our client's journey by collaborating with the Accounting Manager and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to craft and structure their evolving accounting department.

Direct Reporting: Your talents will be showcased as you report directly to the Accounting Manager, taking charge of the team's offshore bookkeeping operations.

Analytical Prowess: Employ your analytical skills to their fullest extent by dissecting monthly general ledger account activity, managing journal entries, overseeing accruals, monitoring variances against forecasts, and conducting reconciliations of various accounts, including capex administration.

Spreadsheet Mastery: Keep financial transactions and analyses in pristine order by maintaining various spreadsheets that bolster our client's financial activities.

Bank Reconciliation Whiz: Ensure the precision of bank reconciliations and scrutinize key account balances to guarantee accurate recording of monthly activities.

Audit Excellence: Assist in quarterly and annual reviews and audits, playing a pivotal role in research, response preparation, and work paper compilation.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our client's property management team to ensure operational synergy.

Financial Mastery: Take the lead in consolidating, reviewing, and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial data, identifying variances and unusual items to align them with GAAP standards and company policies.

Monthly Review Expert: Conduct monthly reviews and analyses of results, facilitating the preparation of financial statements.

Leadership Support: Offer guidance and supervision to the Accounts Payable Manager.

Closing Perfection: Lead the monthly General Ledger closing process, scrutinize revenue variances, and uphold GAAP standards.

GAAP Authority: Mentor and guide staff on proper GAAP compliance and day-to-day accounting operations.

Financial Statement Artistry: Showcase your skills in preparing financial statements and deliver dazzling ad hoc analyses.

Yardi Expertise: Knowledge of Yardi is a plus, and prior real estate and construction experience is highly preferred.

Real Estate Enthusiast: Prior experience in real estate accounting is a strong advantage.

Qualifications:

A BA/BS in Accounting or Finance is required, with a CPA being highly preferred.

Possess 3+ years of experience with significant accounting responsibilities.

Prior public accounting experience in auditing or tax is a valuable asset.
