Working side by side with our business partners to help define and create our future vision, road-map, and strategy to drive our business objectives. The Senior Business Analyst position works directly with business departments within Arthrex to facilitate and manage requirements of projects and enhancements with mentorship from Arthrex Manufacturing Technical Operations Manager. A successful candidate must have experience documenting business processes, gathering requirements, writing training documentation and work instructions, performing training and suggesting improvements. The position liaises with the technical organization and assists AMI Operations to determine the timelines and costs of specific projects. Strong SAP business knowledge and experience within the following areas: Materials Management, Production Planning, and/or Warehouse Management (MM/PP/WM).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and with external vendors to achieve business goals.
  • Obtain a deep understanding of relevant business area(s) and business processes to be able to recommend solutions and build high-quality requirements.
  • Use a variety of techniques to elicit business requirements such as: interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, storyboards, etc.
  • Add value to the business by partnering and consulting to make recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions.
  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks and the impact to the business up and down stream.
  • Work with business partners to prioritize requirements.
  • Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Manage changes throughout the delivery process.
  • Create artifacts as appropriate, such as: business case, use case, scope, requirements, process flows, and test scenarios.
  • Support business in the identification, selection, testing, training, and deployment of solutions.
  • Document current processes and models to understand and identify potential improvement.
  • Identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business processes.
  • Adhere to the Quality System and Change Control Procedures.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow established methodology for the identification and documentation of business requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of roadmaps.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Arthrex from its competition.
  • Support the adoption of solutions.
  • Manage projects with limited scope
  • Lead process improvements and projects to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Lead collaboration with business for documentation of As-Is and To-Be Processes.
  • Proactively propose improvements to business.
  • Manage projects with cross functional teams and of global scope.

Specialized Skills:

  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
  • Professional certification in Project Management methodologies is preferred
  • Business analysis certification (e.g., CBAP) is preferred
  • Lean Certifications preferred (Lean Six Sigma)
  • Understand the major functions in a global organization.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 5 + years of relevant work experience required

Discretion/ Latitude:

  • Work is performed under general direction. Participates in determining success metrics for work performed.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Work with standard current computer applications, including but not limited to collaboration tools, email, word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, diagramming tools; as well as Enterprise applications (where applicable): ERP, PLM, DMS, HRIS, CRM, MES, and BI.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
