As the Sr. Director of Calls at Modernize, you will lead and inspire a dynamic team of sales professionals, account managers, and leaders to drive revenue growth and cultivate strong client relationships in the high-velocity, transactional business of Live Transfers, Calls to prospects and customers generally between $1M in annual revenue and $10M in annual revenue. Reporting directly to the VP of Home Services, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring the achievement of ambitious sales targets, contributing to over $40M+ in annual revenue across thousands of customers. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of sales methodologies, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As the Sr. Director of Calls at Modernize, you will lead and inspire a dynamic team of sales professionals, account managers, and leaders to drive revenue growth and cultivate strong client relationships in the high-velocity, transactional business of Live Transfers, Calls to prospects and customers generally between $1M in annual revenue and $10M in annual revenue. Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team of 7 salespeople, 6 account managers, 2 leaders, and a program manager to achieve individual and team goals.
- Hire top sales talent and add 5 new sales reps to outbound prospect and sell to new clients.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture that promotes accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to maximize the potential of team members.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand market presence in the Live Transfers, Calls, and prospects and customers generally between $1M in annual revenue and $10M in annual revenue segment.
- Identify key opportunities for growth and develop targeted sales strategies to capitalize on them.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate closely with account managers to ensure effective communication and seamless execution of client strategies.
- Track, analyze, and report on sales performance metrics, including revenue targets, sales pipeline, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs.
- Use data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product development, and customer success teams, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between sales and other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B sales.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team to achieve exceptional results.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing strategic sales plans, with a focus on driving revenue growth and expanding market share in the Live Transfers, Calls, and prospects and customers segment, contributing to over $40M+ in annual revenue.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of industry trends and market dynamics in the Live Transfers, Calls, and prospects and customers segment.
