We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Business Operations team at Cox Enterprises. In this role, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to various departments, with a primary focus on Talent Acquisition, Brand, Marketing & Creative, and other Corporate Functions

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of these departments by utilizing your strong analytical skills and business acumen. Your key responsibilities will include financial modeling, conducting financial analysis, creating business cases, and engaging in ad hoc projects to meet the needs of our key stakeholders. You will be relied upon as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, utilizing your expertise to contribute to the overall success of our business operations.

Duties And Responsibilities

Partnering with key stakeholders, you will perform the following in this role:

  • Perform advanced modeling, analysis, and recommendations by conceptualizing, preparing, and presenting to key stakeholders
  • Provide consultative services through collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders, recommending and facilitating changes to improve processes and resolve questions or problems.
  • Gather and compile data to conduct in-depth analysis of complex business trends and dynamics, offering recommendations based on the findings. Develop methods to access and manipulate data from company data systems and sources.
  • Monitor and optimize business processes by reviewing data, ensuring compliance, and identifying opportunities for improvement in complex operational and financial processes. Make recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including the development of financial and operational analyses, identification of emerging trends, cost analysis, financial and expense performance comparisons, and calculations of rate of return and cash flows. Perform additional ad-hoc analyses based on customer needs.
  • Develop and modify financial reports and statements, creating advanced visualizations of extracted data to communicate key insights effectively.
  • Assist in project management activities, including facilitating partnerships, coordinating stakeholder communication, and completing assignments to support project objectives.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business, etc.) and four years of experience is required. A master's degree and two years of experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or eight years of experience in a related field of experience will be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced financial modeling and data analysis experience.
  • Experience in Oracle, OneStream, or another multidimensional database.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial tools.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to explain financials to various audiences at different organizational levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
  • Strong Communication skills with storytelling abilities.
  • Proficient project management skills.
  • Highly motivated and detail-oriented, able to influence others, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Alteryx or other automation software is a plus.

USD 77,800.00 - 116,800.00 per year

Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $77,800.00 - $116,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
