The Senior Project Manager, Technology leads medium to large scale projects that involve processes across multiple business functions, implementation of vendor services or other complexities. The incumbent will drive the definition of project objectives/scope and will manage all aspects of project management to deliver business value.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive definition of project objectives and scope.
  • Manage medium to large projects and project teams to meet business objectives
  • Define and manage the project schedule, tasks, and resource requirements
  • Lead project team in the creation of project deliverables
  • Direct the team in the resolution of issues and mitigation of risks
  • Communicate project progress and status to business/technology stakeholders
  • Liaison between technology and business stakeholders
  • Monitor metrics-based project results
  • Participate in definition and implementation of team process improvements
  • Promote continual improvement and learning within the team and lead by example.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A/B.S), Information Systems or Information Technology       
  • 5+ Years Experience in managing technology & operational projects
  • Experience managing software development project
  • Ability to take initiative and facilitate solutions to business problems
  • Must be detailed oriented and have strong analytical skills
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or similar Google products
  • Proficiency in Project Management software, such as MS Project
  • Knowledge of agile methodology

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification or MS in Project Management
  • Agile Certification
  • Experience working in the Higher Education industry
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends as necessary

This position is a Salary Grade B: $64,000 to $202,600
