Senior QA Software Tester

Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior QA Software Tester position responsible for manual testing all the aspects of a software solution.

What You Will Do

Perform automation testing of web based and mobile applications

Ensure that all defects are entered into the defect tracking system (JIRA)

Other duties as assigned

Test Planning

• Maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
  
  

Software Testing

• Execute manual functional and automation testing based on analysis and understanding of the requirements and deployment environment
• Regression test to ensure release quality
• Provide functional testing to ensure features are complete and function as expected
  
  

Product Releases

• Provide support during software installation or configuration
  
  

What You Need To Have

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of experience
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to write test plans, test cases, test procedures and test scripts from requirements and use cases
• Ability to create logs to document testing performed during release sprints and observed defects Report bugs and errors to Product Team via Jira
• Clear communicator (written and verbal) - to ensure ability to write test plans and to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
• Supporting production support incidents in a QA capacity
• Developing smoke and regression test suites
• Creating and executing functional black box tests
• Experience in Automation Testing
• Ability to show exceptional attention to detail, and be able to interact well with others
• Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
  
  

What We'd Like You To Have

• Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript to be able to read and understand front-end web code
• Some prior experience with the standard software development lifecycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support)
