Senior PMO Quality Assurance Analyst


The Senior PMO Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible, as part of a project team, for new IT systems delivery, discretionary maintenance, and enhancement releases and updates, as well as mentoring and improving the skills of more junior quality assurance analysts. In addition, a Senior PMO Quality Assurance Analyst has focus on enterprise quality assurance responsibilities, such as complex projects that cross departmental or organization boundaries.


Essential Functions

  • Develop complex test plans, test data, procedures and manual and/or automated test scripts based on user stories or functional requirements
  • Leverage knowledge to create re-usable regression test plans for multiple systems and platforms
  • Participate in the review of functional requirements and Sprint planning
  • Validate reported issues, recreate issues and perform testing for multiple or complex projects & re-tests as necessary
  • Lead test case execution processes to verify systems are functioning according to the requirements and established guidelines
  • Write accurate software issue reports, thoroughly document test case results and create test plan summary reports
  • Assist with production verification and validation for multiple systems and platforms
  • Build a deep understanding of the platforms necessary to identify opportunities to provide a positive user experience and improve operational efficiencies
  • Engage with internal and external customers to facilitate testing of multiple systems and platforms
  • Evaluate options and steer a project team to help determine the best solution for resolving issues
  • Mentor more junior quality assurance analysts, other members of the IT team and business team regarding quality assurance processes
  • Guide the company to leverage industry best practices and methodology in its quality assurance efforts


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical discipline, or commensurate work experience, required
  • 7 years in a technical related experience with formal Quality Assurance training, in progressively elevated roles is required
  • ISTQB CTFL certification is preferred
  • Financial industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, QA Processes, test data management, and software development life cycle such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Experience with testing web, mobile and legacy-type application required
  • General knowledge of diverse technologies and new and current architectures
  • Skills in object, data and/or process modeling; financial analysis and planning; business process design
  • Adherence to QA processes and procedures
  • Experience with API testing
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment


Physical Demands


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.


This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
