Senior Tax Accountant

This role is responsible for assisting with tax accounting and compliance work streams.

Responsibilities

Provides for tax accounting activities including assisting the management team with planning and managing ASC 740 quarterly and annual accounting cycle process; assisting with completing the quarterly and yearly tax provision as required by ASC 740, including the deferred tax asset/liability calculations; documenting tax risks and internal controls/assisting with quarterly and annual SOX controls; and assisting with the implementation, design, and enhancement of provision related processes and tools.

Monitors developments in GAAP and US tax law that impact the tax accounting process.

Reviews consolidated federal tax return and state income tax returns.

Assists with loading and managing tax books for fixed assets and intangibles.

Prepares and assists with filing annual extensions.

Prepares and assists with managing quarterly estimates process.

Prepares monthly cash tax reconciliations.

Assists with tax audits and notices.

Assists with various research and special projects, as needed.

Who We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent), required.

Accounting or Finance or a related field.

Licensure or certification, preferred.

CPA (licensed or in progress)

5+ years of related experience, required. Including three or more years of tax specific experience.

8+ years of related experience, preferred.

Strong industry knowledge with a comprehensive understanding of US international taxation. Familiar with accounting and reporting matters, GAAP and SEC disclosure rules. Exposure to local country tax law a plus, but not required.

Skilled in OneSource Tax Provision.

Strong tax technology skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an intermediate level. Experience with Alteryx or other ETL tools a plus.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams.

Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities with competing deadlines.

Industry knowledge with an understanding of accounting and reporting matters, GAAP and SEC disclosure rules.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.

Must be 18 years of age or older.
