Everyone at Inventive holds themselves to a high bar for quality, efficacy, and innovation, but our Solution Architects certainly hold themselves to the highest. Solution Architects operate like true experts as they drive projects from end-to-end.

On any given day, Solution Architects will be identifying and recommending optimal solutions for clients; developing and presenting technical proposals, translating requirements into project plans and deliverables; and considering factors such as cost-effectiveness, scalability, and long-term sustainability.

Different from our Technical Architect role, a Solution Architect is more of a cross-functional leader and engineering team lead. They are highly collaborative with a variety of teams from Sales, Product, Design, and Project Management, and ensure that all due diligence is completed and risks are mitigated; scope and assumptions are documented; and confirm that we’re providing a quality experience and product to our clients.

Lastly, Solution Architects are true Evangelists for Inventive. They share ideas often to a broader audience often and let their geek flag fly! They are not only crazy innovative, but sensible and business-minded.

Because we want you to be successful, having proven success and unbreakable confidence in an Architect role is invaluable to us. Ideal candidates will have broad knowledge of many full-stack software development and cloud technologies, and a sincere desire to mentor the team, guide the clients, and pioneer new growth at Inventive.

Qualifications And Experience

Experience that’s required :

• Strong business acumen coupled with engineering, architecture, and business skill
• Software Engineering background with minimum 10+ years full stack development
• 5+ years as a Technical Architect designing enterprise level, scalable, and distributed software applications
• Solid track record as a Solutions Architect on various full-stack integrations and cloud migrations
• Proven success owning tech projects, leading external clients and mentoring others
• Expertise programming multiple languages including C#, node.js, javascript, sql, react.js
• Expertise with multiple datastores such as sql server, mysql, postgresql, mongodb, aurora, dynamo
• Experience with microservices architecture and container orchestration e.g., Kubernetes, Docker
• Proficient in multiple front-end frameworks and Libraries e.g. ReactJS & Vue
• Proficient in AWS and Azure cloud environments
• Proficient with multiple CI/CD tools e.g. Git, Azure DevOps, and TeamCity
• Ability to develop software in both Linux and Windows environments
• Ability to work effectively with people and enjoy helping others achieve their goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bulletproof technical documentation
  
  

Experience that’s really nice to have:

• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
• Familiarity with emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, IoT, serverless computing)
• Experience with real-time data and API technologies (e.g., Hasura, GraphQL)
• Experience with client presentations, responding to RFPs and/or creating SOWs
• Certifications such as Microsoft MVP
• Experience working at a digital agency or consulting firm

Contracting at Inventive:

This role is budgeted for a part-time (20+ hours ongoing contract).
