Core Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement ways to create efficiencies in processes
  • Accurately process and record vendor invoices and expense reports in a timely manner
  • Ensure proper documentation, authorization, and coding of invoices and expense reports
  • Work closely with team members around the company to resolve vendor inquiries and manage vendor relationships
  • Develop and implement a process for new vendor negotiation and setup process
  • Perform monthly reconciliations and analysis of accounts payable transactions
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes and provide support for financial audits/reviews
  • Enter credit card and bank account transactions in the financial system
  • Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting principles
  • Help other team members take on challenges in additional areas of accounting, and work to solve problems
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures


Requirements

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role
  • Prior payments industry experience is helpful but is not required
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices including GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in organizing data, utilizing pivot tables, writing formulas, and extracting data into Excel
  • Prior experience with accounting software such as Intact, FloCast, and Ramp
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines


Technical Requirements

  • Must have access to a wired internet connection
  • Must have access to at least a 25 megabits per second (mbps) download and 20 mbps upload speed connection

The salary for this position is $80,000. We may be open to negotiating outside of this range if the desired salary aligns with the needs of the candidate and the company.
