Staff Accountant

Responsibilities; include but are not limited to:

• Prepare tax returns and tax planning - individual and business
• Assist with compilation, review, and audit engagements, in a variety of industries
• Participate in valuation engagements
• Conduct tax research and assist with tax notices
  
  

Skills/Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance
• Internship or professional accounting experience; one to three years
• A natural passion for math, and a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial transactions
• Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of basic accounting functions and the ability to work with technical accuracy, attention to detail and compliance with instructions
• Must be able to organize, prioritize and coordinate workload to meet critical deadlines
• Must demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, QuickBooks, tax and workpaper management software
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pursuit of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus but not required
• Experience in Individual tax preparation and small business accounting
• Desire to continue to grow through continuing education
  
  

Job Type: Full-time Physical setting: In office

Salary Range (based on experience): $55,000 to $75,000
