Vaco is hiring for a Staff Accountant in the Boca Raton, FL area.
Summary: Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will assume key responsibilities in the accounting department, including, but not limited to the following: Specific Responsibilities will include:
Reconcile daily bank deposits
Reconcile monthly bank statements
Process weekly Accounts Payable
Review and reconcile monthly credit card statements
Reconcile Receivables
Prepare Income & Expense Journal Entries; assist with monthly general ledger and financial statement preparation
Process Vendors 1099's
Process payroll on a weekly basis for 1099 real estate agents
Experience, Education & Competencies:
Minimum of three years' accounting experience
Detail-oriented, well-organized & quick with numbers
Ability to multi-task especially under pressure & interruptions
Able to prioritize and exercise good judgment in dealing with competing goals and assignments
Must be professional, available, and objective when dealing with real estate agents and colleagues
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Highly proficient in data entry
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, etc.); working knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains (GP) accounting software a plus and QuickBooks.
Degree in accounting preferred
