Summary

Anaconda is seeking a talented Staff Accountant II to join our rapidly growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your experience and skills and apply it to the world of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

What You'll Do

• Asist in the daily activities of Anaconda’s accounting and finance operations.
• Primary focus areas will include accounts payable, corporate credit cards, expense reimbursements and sales tax payable.
• Ownership of vendor management and annual 1099 process.
• Own state and franchise tax filings and remittance of sales tax payable to States.
• Review and process corporate credit card expenses and employee expense reports.
• Work cross functionally with other departments to properly classify business transactions.
• Exercise a high degree of professionalism and discretion with sensitive employee data.
• Support accounting team’s commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s internal controls.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  
  

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• Ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of relevant accounting experience with increasing responsibility, preferably at a rapidly growing technology company
• Understanding of GAAP and financial statement review and analysis
• Experience with major ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and ability to learn new systems quickly
• Knowledge of sales tax compliance
• Strong work ethic, capacity to get things done independently, and consistent performance with a sense of urgency and commitment.
• Ability to solve problems independently and propose solutions to prevent future issues
• Desire to find or create efficiencies in workflows through automation or new processes
• Intermediate Excel skills
