Value Chain Analyst
The Value Chain Analyst will play an essential role in transforming the way that BBU’s supply chain operates. S/he will be a part of a team that will create the new supply chain operating model resulting in tremendous improvements in service, safety, and cost performance.
This position demands a balance between technical and leadership skills. They will be assigned to perform detailed analyses and documentation of a process’ current state along with determining the impact of proposed changes. The individual must be able to consider multiple viewpoints, such as sales, manufacturing, distribution, when building a business case and be able to clearly articulate the variables being considered and the effect of the proposed changes. S/he should be comfortable in working with large amounts of both operational and financial data.
You must have a proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment as well as the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and projects and manage work time efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to help find ways to create cost-effective business processes
Gathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
Will document current processes and future processes
Will support in business case development
Will support the team in evaluating current and future proposed models, understanding the financial and operational issues
Requirements & Qualifications
Effective communicator with the ability to articulate a vision and a compelling reason for change
Great listener, flexible, and open to directional changes based upon business needs and prioritization
Works well in a team environment
Ability to organize and prioritize work and competing interests
Deals well in ambiguous situations or in environments when not all facts are available
Works to simplify and optimize processes to ensure quality execution
Has the capacity to innovate and respond to changing conditions along with the ability to balance structure & flexibility by planning for the known elements and preparing for change
Strong quantitative, analytical, and project management skills
Experience in data mining, analysis, and reporting
Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. production planning, inventory planning, warehouse management, transportation management)
Willingness to travel (up to 75%) & work flexible schedules, hours, etc.
Education And Work History
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Marketing, Strategy, Business Analytics, Mathematics or a related field
Proficient in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience: 1 -2 years as an analyst, marketing generalist, logistics coordinator, or similar role preferred
