We are a leading producer in the mobile HVAC industry, specializing in premium units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles. Currently, we are seeking a talented Supply Chain Buyer to join our dynamic team in Tacoma, WA. This role offers a hybrid work model after initial training, providing flexibility and growth opportunities.
Position Summary
As a Supply Chain Buyer at our organization, you will play a crucial role in inventory planning and management, ensuring seamless production operations. Your responsibilities will include scheduling orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and optimizing material flow using advanced systems and lean principles.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize MRP systems to schedule and coordinate product deliveries to meet production timelines.
Maintain inventory levels in accordance with departmental goals, focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Manage surplus and obsolete parts, recommending appropriate actions for disposition.
Support warranty processes by facilitating the return of defective parts.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain management; familiarity with Oracle MRP systems is advantageous.
Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and excellent communication skills.
Traits: Detail-oriented, capable of working independently or in a team, and adept at problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
