System Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the company’s server infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of all systems. You will play a key role in optimizing system performance, implementing security measures, and providing technical support to users across the organization.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Install and configure servers, operating systems, and software applications.
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability of servers and network services.
• Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and patches.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to ensure effective communication and support.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades and enhancements.

Skills And Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (relevant certifications and experience may substitute).
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role in managing enterprise-level systems.
• Strong knowledge of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux/Unix).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and cloud management tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation and task scripting.
• Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
