Position: Instructional Support Assistant

Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. As an Instructional Support Assistant, you will work closely with lead teachers to create an optimal learning environment and provide both instructional and social-emotional support.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the lead teacher to foster a positive and effective learning atmosphere.

Assist in implementing lesson plans and reinforcing instruction through one-on-one or small group support.

Maintain and manage classroom routines, enforce rules, and support students in staying on task.

Document and track student progress, interventions, and accommodations.

Communicate with families and participate in team meetings as needed.

Supervise students during various school activities and assist with administrative tasks.

Adapt to changes and support both in-person and remote learning environments.

Qualifications

Required:

At least 2 years of college education.

Experience working with children.

Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.

Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced setting.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Elementary, ESL, or Special Education.

Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Haitian Creole, or Cape Verdean Creole.
