We're seeking candidates with the following qualifications to join our team:
Responsibilities
Develop and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Unified Functional Testing (UFT) and Selenium WebDriver to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, identify test scenarios, and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of web-based and desktop applications to validate system functionality, usability, and performance.
Design and implement test automation frameworks, libraries, and utilities to enhance test coverage, maintainability, and efficiency of automated tests.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues using defect tracking tools like Jira or HP ALM, ensuring timely resolution and closure of reported issues.
Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to provide testing updates, status reports, and feedback on software quality.
Collaborate with developers and product owners to reproduce, debug, and resolve reported issues, ensuring software defects are addressed in a timely manner.
Perform root cause analysis of test failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, improving the overall quality and reliability of software products.
Continuously enhance testing processes, methodologies, and tools to optimize test efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage across multiple projects and releases.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing, automation, and quality assurance, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Proven experience as a Software Tester or Quality Assurance Engineer, with at least 3-5 years of experience in automated testing using UFT and Selenium.
Hands-on experience developing and executing automated test scripts for web-based applications, APIs, and backend services.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as VBScript, Java, or C#, with strong automation skills using UFT (formerly QTP) and Selenium WebDriver.
Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including test planning, test case design, and defect management.
Experience with test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, or TestRail for test planning, execution, and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems, identify root causes of issues, and propose effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive quality and deliver results.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for quality and a drive to continuously improve testing processes and practices.
ISTQB or other relevant software testing certifications are a plus.
Experience with other test automation tools and frameworks, such as Cucumber, TestNG, or Jenkins, is desirable.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, and experience working in agile teams is preferred.
