We are looking for a Vice President of Human Resources to join our growing company in Baltimore, MD. Reporting to the CEO and managing a small HR team, the Vice President of HR will collaborate with the leadership team, and drive the delivery of HR services for a multi-state business.


We are seeking a hands-on builder who gets things done! This role is for a true generalist who is highly collaborative with a hands-on approach. M&A experience is required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead, coach and manage HR and Payroll team to drive alignment and collaboration in delivering HR objectives.
  • Transform the Human Resources function to support the achievement of the business vision, mission, values, and strategic imperatives across global markets.
  • Development and execute of human resource strategies, policies, processes and metrics in alignment with the organization’s business goals and core values.
  • Partner and align with the Human Resource team members on HR priorities to ensure the effective delivery and implementation of HR programs and solutions.
  • Oversee company-wide initiatives that continuously improve associate engagement, enhance the associate experience and contribute to the organization’s reputation as a highly attractive environment in which to work and build a career.
  • Lead the design and implementation of performance management systems that encourage the achievement of professional objectives and support the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Lead the development of people programs designed to grow talent in partnership with leaders.
  • Ensure benefits and policy administration is effective, compliant, and cost effective; oversee payroll systems and compliance reporting, proactively addressing risk management issues.
  • Responsible for the adherence of department budget and cost-effective approach to the human resource and facilities function, analyzing and managing a proactive return on investment. Achieve budgetary and financial metrics for direct reporting departments.
  • Lead effective and timely communication to leadership and management associates on significant, relevant changes in HR policies and practices.
  • Monitor and drive consistent delivery of HR policies and practices across assigned organization and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all facets of Policy & Procedures, Code of Conduct, overall values and applicable laws.


EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in human resources leadership role
  • M&A experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
