About the Gig:
The VP of Delivery supports the purposeful growth of our service teams, drives exceptional client outcomes, and ensures profitable delivery of consulting projects. The VP of Delivery is a servant leader who is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
A Day-in-the-Life:
Lead all service teams responsible for delivery of projects, and serve as the direct people manager for the Directors of Delivery
Ensure on time and under budget delivery of projects
Manage resourcing, utilization, and project staffing
Implement processes and procedures needed to standardize services offerings
Support rollout of technology needed to level up our services business
Identify and measure KPIs by role
Measure consultant performance and make recommendations to ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
Proactively anticipate hiring needs and working with HR lead to fill key roles
Define budget needed to hit growth targets
Serve as an escalation point for client and employee issues
Lead our service organization through the next chapter of growth and scale
Contribute to organizational design -- help us identify the right team structure as the business grows (On day 1, this role will have 6-10 direct reports and 60+ team members in delivery reporting line. We expect this to rapidly scale and want a leader who can lead the business through the next chapter.)
A Successful Vice President of Delivery will:
Know professional services and consulting inside and out
Be familiar with the Salesforce ecosystem and products
Have experience leading in a scaled service delivery organization
Be data driven, and rally teams to hit KPIs and metrics
Build strong relationships with tech leadership, marketing, and sales internally
Proactively spot risks and flag opportunities to improve
Bring ideas from past experience and learn about how other consultancies approach similar challenges
Be metrics-driven and look to create systems/processes that reduce friction for the team
