Vice President of Distribution

The VP of Distribution & Logistics Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing innovative distribution strategies and models that enhance our packaging, product distribution, and overall supply chain efficiency. This role requires a visionary leader who can reimagine traditional distribution methods, create strategic distribution partnerships, and effectively manage highly levered capital assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong P&L management skills, exceptional bid and negotiation capabilities, and a strategic mindset.

• Lead the development and implementation of innovative packaging solutions to improve product distribution efficiency and reduce costs.
• Design and implement new distribution strategies and models that align with the company’s growth objectives and market demands.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive distribution partnership strategy to expand our market reach and optimize distribution networks.
• Oversee the distribution business unit’s P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the distribution department. Lead and manage all bidding processes for distribution contracts, ensuring competitive and cost-effective agreements.
• Negotiate terms with suppliers, vendors, and partners to secure advantageous deals.
• Implement best practices for asset maintenance, risk management, and cost control.
• Lead the design and implementation of a new distribution ecosystem that integrates cutting-edge technology, sustainable practices, and innovative logistics solutions.
• Analyze current distribution channels and identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reductions.
• Utilize data analytics and market research to inform and support strategic decisions regarding the new distribution ecosystem.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and adaptability of the distribution network.
• Build and lead a high-performing distribution strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in distribution strategy, supply chain management, or logistics, with 5+ years of experience in leadership roles.
• 3-5+ years in food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing innovative distribution models and strategies.
• Strong P&L management skills and a strategic business unit mindset.
• Exceptional bid and negotiation skills with a history of successful contract negotiations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
