The VP, Digital Experience and Site Operations position oversees the product management, user experience, and site production ¬teams. This role will be accountable for the day¬ to day site operations along with developing and executing the strategy for site operations.

The major responsibilities include: Setting and executing the future vision of the website through user-centric product management focus and defining roadmaps of new digital products and features that evolve our digital product offerings and conversion for our customers; Optimizing the usability and user experience of the website for all customer and user types; Leverage data, insights and analytics in strategies for features to be launched to the customer.

Job Functions


  • Overall ownership and delivery of the belk.com website operations and user experience
  • Ensure the customers’ experience and website touch points are easy to shop for a quality experience and drive conversion
  • Selects and optimizes third party solutions
  • Promotes data, insights and analytics as a means for prioritization in user experience delivery for the website. Leverage these insights to translate customer needs into an effective digital user experience strategy.
  • Prioritizes resources for work on new features to evolve the digital properties.
  • Key stakeholder in selecting new technologies that evolve the customer experience on digital platforms. Creation and communication of digital product roadmaps.
  • Communicate cross functionally and internally on changes, updates and follow up on metrics/KPIs associated with features
  • Ensures the build and execution of day-to-day web and email content, AB tests, and promotions are delivered on time and without errors.
  • Must be able to provide prioritization of competing and often conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible to keep up to date on current 3rd party solutions, participate in contract negotiations and ensure tools are being maximized to produce the best ROI.
  • Gather, organize and present requests for business solutions and ensure a thorough assessment of value and return are completed.
  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems or tools.
  • Provides direction to team regarding what should be included in the software, application, or product to ensure it meets the business needs.


Education / Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related degree preferred
  • 7+ years of ecommerce experience and management
  • 10+ years of proven experience developing, inspiring, and activating teams to deliver best in class efforts against key audiences
  • Proven experience with optimizing the user experience to maximize results

  • Passion for driving and creating an engaging customer experience, while driving sales conversion
  • Strong, motivating leadership effectively leading a team of professionals
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and high desire to work with an innovative team as one of its leaders
  • Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to interpret analytics, data and reporting and derive key insights to execute subsequent actions which drive sales conversion
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results
  • Ability to efficiently organize and maintain a cross-functional, team-based approach to initiatives with internal and external partner organizations in a fun and fast-paced environment - flexible, adapts well to change
