Warehouse Supervisor (Freight Forwarder)

Summary/Objective:

Supervise overall operation of warehouse for the company's Warehouse business. Responsible for the effective and successful supervision of labor, productivity, quality control and safety. Assist Senior Supervisor for overseeing warehouse operation. Provide daily customer service support and meet all distribution requirements for the company's's customers.

Note: A key aspect of this position is to ensure Continuity of the Brand Warehouse by completing ALL pending work Instructions on Visual Aids for the Brand department. This has been an ongoing task that is not yet complete. The addition of the “Supervisor” position should make this task easier complete in a timely manner.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains receiving, warehousing and distribution, and packing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols, including training and instruction on proper movement of freight on the forklift, hand jack, and during the stacking, staging, loading, unloading freights.
• Conduct monthly full physical inventory, on demand physical counts; resolving systemic discrepancies; reconciling with SAP. Analyze the root cause of inventory discrepancies and propose preventive and corrective action to senior supervisor.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse including 5’s activities by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions of replacement.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees daily and weekly and following up on result of work.
• Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, planning. Propose disciplining or promotion of employees to senior supervisor.
• Supervise the activity of 5S Program of team member. Create the department mindset that 5’s is habit not additional work.
• Monitor the worked hours of temp associates, propose to senior supervisor for reduction or addition of temp associates.
• Create working instruction and visual aid. Ensure processes, work instruction, forms, and visual aids are up to date and disseminated to staff in following with company Quality Control policy such ISO.
• Perform other duties related to warehouse operation when instructed.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of Four (3) year of Warehousing, Shipping, Receiving
• Warehouse management system, ISO9001
• Required Skills: Proficient in use of SAP, ACCS, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
• Education: associate in industrial engineering preferred.
