The June edition of the Accelerator – a hackathon-style event gathered 300+ participants and 30+ partner companies working on 97 use cases that accelerated existing projects – 38 of them tackled the topic of Data & AI. Artificial Intelligence was the main theme of the event and the associated conference, AI Boost, which brought together ABB experts and industry leaders - the brightest minds in the field, such as OpenAI, McKinsey & Company, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft and Google. The event was sponsored by Sami Atiya, President of ABB's Robotics and Discrete Automation business, and Carolina Granat, Chief Human Resources Officer. It was orchestrated by our CIO, Alec Joannou and Peter Alkema, Head of IS Enterprise & Technology Architecture.
