Engineers at Apex play a crucial role: they translate complex technical concepts so that stakeholders across the company can incorporate that information into the development process. Success depends on a combination of deep expertise, communication skills, and an understanding of the bigger picture. To celebrate Women in Engineering Day, we asked Meagan Denman, Jillian Huweart, and Andie Myers about what inspired them to join the clean energy sector and why collaboration is key to success in project development. #WomenInEngineeringDay

It was international women in engineering day yesterday, and it’s important to celebrate the milestones us as women have reached in the engineering industry. As much as we say the industry is changing to embace us females, there are still challenges that we face everyday that a male engineer will not have to deal with, whether our male counterparts want to acknowledge it or not 🤪. But honestly, it’s not a female vs male situation, we are not here trying to ‘take over’ we are here to play our part and we appreciate all the support our male colleagues give us. The day is about celebrating our achievements in an industry that was not always welcoming to women, it’s about encouraging the next generation of women to pursue engineering as a career. #womenengineers #engineering #stem #celebrate #makingourmark
We’re immensely proud of the amazing women in our team, who, with their passion, talent, and creativity, have made and continue to make remarkable contributions to our ongoing success and the engineering profession, paving the way for future generations. On this International Women in Engineering Day, some teammates from various Knight Piésold offices, including Roanna Dalton, Winifred Agbakpe, Veronique Daigle, Lucia Sol Lemos, Estee Cuff, Katherine Sieck, PG, Amanda Cassa, Pr Eng, PhD, and Janice Zhang 张陈岑, have shared their thoughts on engineering and advice to young women interested in pursuing an engineering career. Happy International Women in Engineering Day to all! 🎉 #INWED24 #WomenInEngineering #Engineering #OneTeam

Today we celebrate International Women in Engineering Day, an occasion established in the United Kingdom in 2014 to promote the amazing contributions of women around the world while encouraging more young women to envision themselves in the field, pursuing innovation and ideas that will make the future better for everyone. While this year’s theme — Enhanced by Engineering — is focused on the lives that have been improved because of developments in engineering, it also brings to mind how the engineering industry has been enhanced by the increased inclusion of women and others who bring diverse viewpoints to engineering. Belden understands the value of diversity in our workforce. We know that the best ideas and innovative solutions result from a diverse array of perspectives, life experiences and bases of knowledge that shine a light on all aspects of our work. Every person at Belden contributes to our ability to perform at our best and serve customers at the highest levels possible, and that includes the scores of talented, forward-thinking women who are front and center in developing solutions for our customers. We at Belden are taking an active role in furthering the representation of women in engineering roles across the organization. They are accomplishing amazing things and supporting our solutions strategy. Please join me in celebrating the women engineers at Belden, and those in organizations around the world. https://bit.ly/3cZNzAJ #Belden #INWED24 #EnhancedByEngineering #BelieveBelongBeYou

As we celebrate International Women in Engineering Day, we are reminded of the outstanding achievements of women engineers around the world and of the importance of diversity and inclusion in the engineering field. We asked Brittany Argueta, a Process Development Engineer for Harland, what being a woman in engineering means to her: "Being a woman in engineering means breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations. My advice to aspiring women engineers is to stay curious, persevere through challenges, and never underestimate the power of your voice and ideas." Let’s continue to support and empower women in engineering, fostering an environment where innovation and creativity can thrive. #INWED24 #EnhancedByEngineering #Engineering

Engineering is about connection, understanding and responsibility. It’s a discipline that requires real life application of theories developed in STEM and Humanities into something solid that people work or interacts with. It cannot be solitary work by definition.
In honour of #INWED2024, the brilliant Women in Engineering committee are here to challenge common myths about engineering. Here we unpack the truth behind these stereotypes and share the diverse, meaningful work they do as engineers. Their stories are sure to inspire the next generation of female innovators. 🎥 Video filmed by University of Oxford. #OxfordEngineering #WomenInEngineering #EngineeringIsForEveryone #INWED #EnhancedbyEngineering

Today, on International Women in Engineering Day, we recognize the incredible achievements of women engineers globally and the strides we continue to make in this traditionally male-dominated field. Engineering is not just about designing structures; it’s about creating solutions that improve our world. Each day, I am inspired by the innovative spirit, resilience, and determination of my fellow female engineers. We are breaking barriers, challenging stereotypes, and proving that gender is no limit to greatness. At Stantec I am fortunate to work in an environment that values inclusivity, supports professional growth, and encourages us to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Our collective efforts drive the industry forward and inspire the next generation of women engineers. To all the women in engineering: Your contributions are invaluable. Keep dreaming big, pushing limits, and shaping the future. Together, we are engineering a better world. #EnhancedByEngineering #WomenAtStantec #INWED2024 #WomenInEngineering #StructuralEngineering #DiversityInTech
