France commited to new goals on pv solar deployment, from presently 17GW capacity in operation to 48 GW until 2030 and up to 140 GW until 2050, increasing the 2050 goal by 40%. With 4,6 GW new pv solar annually, France still is behind Italy, Spain and Germany with its deployment plans. French deploy plans locate new 45 GW on waste land, 45 GW new pv solar in AGRI pv, and on agricucultural land and forrests, new 35 GW on large scale roofs and 12 GW new capacity in residential self consumption. With combined 47 GW pv solar on rooftops, the plan is far behind the dutch plan of 125 GW rooftop solar and leaves huge potential for private prosumers and related battery systems untapped.
France aims for 48.1 GW of solar by 2030, 140 GW by 2050

Great news from Slovakia! 🙌 Slovakian solar power took a huge leap forward in 2023, according to early figures from the Slovak Photovoltaic Industry Association. With an impressive increase of 220 MWp last year—over 300% more than the year before—Slovakia could add an extra 300 MWp this year! As its move towards a sustainable future accelerates, the country is focusing primarily on prosumer PV systems and support programmes for residential and commercial systems—and we’re happy to support it. Another block buster year for PV installations this year. 2022 was already a big year for record installations nearing 400GW! it wasn't too long ago at 2019-2020 that total global installations past 100GW. Now with record low PV module prices as well. I expected this to be occurring in 2025-2026. But it's happening now with module prices for P-type monoPERC bifacial at $0.15-$0.16/Wp. Many more projects more viable in the Asian markets at least. It certainly helps with increasing the installations of clean renewable energy #solarenergy #solarenergy #solarpanels #pvmodules

Solar power is entering a maturity phase in Spain: with around 8.4 GW of annual installed capacity in 2022, the country experienced its best year ever for solar PV deployment, becoming the largest European PV market in 2022. Since 2020, over 18 GW has been installed, leading to a 156% increase of the solar PV operating fleet in the last 3 years. Spain’s leadership in the renewable PPA market, the development of PV capacity assigned in previous renewable auctions, the geostrategic challenge driven by the Russian invasion of Ukraine related to security of supply, and the growth of rooftop PV, are the main factors contributing to the accelerating solar market. However, there is no room for complacency: both policymakers and industry will have to actively protect the country’s GW-size industry. https://lnkd.in/dK_nUGR7 #spain #solarinspain #solarpv #solarineurope #corporateppa #solarpower #cleanenergy #renewables

Solar Installations Soaring in 2023 ☀️ The global solar market is booming! A recent forecast on solar installations globally shared by BloombergNEF suggests that an average of more than 1 GW of new solar is being installed around the world every day. China is leading the way, with an incredible 200 GW of PV expected to be installed this year, which is more than what the United States has installed over the last two decades! The forecast shows that solar installations are expected to be higher in most countries across the world, with the US set to install a record 33 GW, followed by Brazil and India on 16 GW each, and Germany on 11 GW. Total demand for solar panels could reach 400 GW, which would be 50% higher than in 2022. This is great news for the renewable energy industry as solar power is a clean, reliable, and affordable source of energy that can help Australia achieve net zero emissions by 2050. #solarpower #solarenergy #renewableenergy #cleanenergy #netzero #sustainability #australia

Union Minister Updates on Pioneering Solar Schemes for Domestic Energy Revolution The Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy and Power, Shri R. K. Singh, shared details about the government’s robust initiatives to boost solar energy adoption across the country. Launched in January 2010, the National Solar Mission (NSM) has been a pivotal platform introducing various schemes to promote solar energy development. Presently, the focus is on encouraging solar energy usage at the domestic level through multiple schemes. Under the Solar Park Scheme, the government aims to establish a minimum of 50 Solar Parks, targeting an impressive 40,000 MW of solar power projects. Another noteworthy initiative is the Scheme for setting […] Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/dmBnzsv9 #solarenergy #alternativeenergy #solarpv #pvsolar #photovoltaic #cleanenergy #cleantech #climatechange #middleeast #africa #india #asiapacific #asia #india #mnre #pmkusum #residentialpvsystems #rooftopsolar #solarpvmodules

Philippines’ Negros Occidental To Install Solar Panels Across Seven Capitol Facilities The provincial government of Negros Occidental plans to install a total of 1,270 kilowatts (KW) of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across seven main facilities of the Capitol this year. Data released by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Tuesday indicated that switching to solar power could save the province between 132,080 and 158,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) monthly. “We aim to put the project out for bid by the third quarter,” Lacson stated during an interview held in conjunction with the Provincial Renewable Energy Week from May 20 to 24. Lacson estimated that with the current rate of PHP12 per kWh, the […] Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/dSb6ATUG #solarenergy #alternativeenergy #solarpv #pvsolar #photovoltaic #cleanenergy #cleantech #climatechange #middleeast #africa #india #asiapacific #asia #negrosoccidental #philippines #renewableenergy #solarenergy #southeastasia
