Delving into Flag Precedence, a crucial facet of military etiquette, referencing Department of the Army Pamphlet 600–60(A Guide to Protocol) offers detailed guidance for soldiers and DOD civilians. Understanding the hierarchy of flags symbolizes our commitment to order and tradition. In the words of General Douglas MacArthur, 'In no other profession are the penalties for employing untrained personnel so appalling or so irrevocable as in the military.' Let's internalize this wisdom, ensuring our commitment to excellence echoes in every detail. 🇺🇸 #MilitaryEtiquette #USArmy #FlagPrecedence #ArmyProtocol #ExecutiveServices

I have been going through my military records today, and it got me thinking: What is your shoulder sleeve insignia for former wartime service and what does it mean to you? In case you do not know, the shoulder sleeve insignia for former wartime service, commonly known as the "combat patch," is a distinctive patch worn on the right sleeve of the uniform by US Army soldiers who have served in combat. It signifies the individual's participation in a designated wartime period or campaign. The importance of the combat patch lies in several aspects: Recognition of Service, Unit Cohesion, Tradition and Honor, and Combat Identification. A combat patch connects soldiers to the long history of the military and the sacrifices made by those who have served before them. It represents a sense of duty, valor, and pride in one's service. Overall, the combat patch holds significant symbolic and practical importance within the military community, representing both individual service and collective sacrifice in defense of the nation. My patch, you ask, is the Special Forces Patch awarded on 18 July 2007. #avgeek #military #aviationlovers #aviationdaily #aviationsafety #specialforces #helogirls #mentorshipmatters #militaryservice #veteran #combat

Understand the ORBAT In any military there is always an ORBAT. An ORBAT is kinda like a chart to show where people are within the Organisation. In the Regiment, a Regimental ORBAT is broken down into the following: -Squadrons -Troops -Vehicles -Individuals As a minimum, each individual knows who is in each troop As a maximum, the Commanding Officer of the Regiment knows every single person within their organisation. Understanding the ORBAT enables commanders/leaders to better understand who is who and where each person is best suited in order to have the maximum #effect. If you work for a Company, then you are within that companies ORBAT. Understanding where your assets sit within said ORBAT is critical to achieving not only your own #success but that of your company. If you do not take time to #understand your ORBAT, how are you going to to #ensure the right people are involved at the right time in order to ensure you #achieve the right outcome? #veterans #employment #foodforthought

Check out this new clip from last weeks episode with Wayne Worthington!
Cloud Security Consultant | AI Security | Podcast Host | Technical Instructor | Military Spouse | Veteran
I want to tee off my post yesterday The flip side to thinking that all of your skills will easily translate over from the military, is assuming that none of your skills or talents translate over from the military. That could not be further from the truth and Wayne Worthington agrees with me. There is a reason why you succeeded in your time in the military. Your #militarytransition did not strip you of any of those skills or experience. You are the same person. The only thing that has changed is the environment. Go be great just like you were in the military. #ThePostMilitaryPlaybook
