Multiple sources suggested hiring a mentor to find a position I am interested in. I do see multiple people providing such service. Here is a speculative thought: Is it an evolved HR service these days? Since a mentor would vet the knowledge and characteristics of a person. The online hiring personal these days - has no clue about their job, or any capabilities to evaluate the candidates. #Candidateexperience. As a recruiter, I always believe that "the candidate is king." What if you do the best sourcing of candidates, the best screening of candidates, you are a great interviewer, and finally, the candidate does not join your organization? I will tell you about one incident in my life. I was working for an EdTech company back in 2020, and the organization's offer-to-joiner conversion rate was very low. I developed these steps to ensure candidates have a good experience: 1. Clear Communication:-Keep candidates informed throughout the process. 2. Timely Feedback:- Provide prompt and constructive feedback after each interview stage. 3. Respect Candidates' Time:-Schedule interviews at convenient times and avoid unnecessary delays. 4. Personalized Approach: Tailor your communication and interactions to each candidate. 5. Transparent Process: Be clear about the hiring process, timelines, and expectations. 6. Support and Guidance: Offer assistance and guidance to candidates preparing for interviews. 7. Positive Onboarding: Ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience for new hires.
