"I joined Azelis 11 years ago as a Business Controller at Corporate. In October 2016, I transitioned to the business side, becoming Finance Manager in Benelux and overseeing the finance team in Belgium and the Netherlands. The operational expertise I gained during this role was ideal preparation for joining the M&A team in October 2018. At that time, the M&A team consisted of just two people. We handled everything from sourcing to execution and integration for each project. Over time, we realized that integration was a crucial part of the M&A process and needed more dedicated focus. Over the past years, I gradually took on more responsibility for post-merger integration (PMI), and earlier this year, my role was formalized as Group PMI Coordinator and PMI Manager for EMEA. At Azelis, we embrace a mindset of continuous improvement, which I believe is essential for a successful integration process. We are committed to learning, improving, and reflecting on the lessons learned. My role is focused on continuously enhancing the PMI process within Azelis, aiming for a seamless transition for any newly acquired company into the Azelis family. Azelis has taught me team spirit, resilience, and the value of working together as one international family in a supportive environment. My journey at Azelis has been incredibly rewarding, pushing me out of my comfort zone to grow both as an individual and as part of a team that is always learning from each other." #weareazelis #azelisempowered

🎉 A few weeks ago, Azelis Türkiye was announcing the launch of the IDEAzelis Innovations Awards 2024 in collaboration with the Pharmacy Department of the University of Istanbul, on the topic “Innovate for tomorrow’s food supplements”. We’re excited to share today some updates about the competition! For this challenge, which was designed to foster a culture of ingenuity among university students and to encourage entrepreneurship in the field of innovation in Türkiye, the team received an overwhelming participation rate with 49 project ideas submitted. Out of them, eight ideas were selected, and the teams had the opportunity to present their projects live to the jury at the Soho House in Istanbul. After an extensive evaluation, the jury members elected three winners, who received a certificate on stage: 🏅 The first award goes to Tuğçe Sena BAL and Burcu Aksu for the 'Pharmastrip' project. 🏅 The second award goes to Sueda Kara, feray tatlıyüz, and Ayşe Tarhan for the 'Bubbles' project. 🏅 The third award goes to Sevcan Ekinci, and Rana Demir for the 'BrainGum' project. 🥂 The event continued with a cocktail reception, where the finalist teams had the chance to network with the jury members, encouraging collaboration and innovation within the group. 🌟 Our special thanks go to all the applicants, university academics from the Pharmacy Department, SEVDA SÜZGEÇ SELÇUK, Erdal Cevher, Burcu Mesut, Sevgi Gungor, Prof. Dr. Yıldız Özsoy, and the Entrepreneurship in Pharmacy Club of the University of Istanbul, İÜEGK İstanbul Üniversitesi. The transition from chemistry to a role focused solely on sustainability was one that I had been looking to make for a long time before. Moving to an environmental charity, NGO or the like, was tempting, but I stayed in the chemical industry. The motivation for this was that it’s still one of the most emitting industries in the world but it is also therefore, an area in which I, and all of us working in this field, can have the most impact. Todd Cottrell, CEO, Americas, was in Texas for the Chemical Educational Foundation's "You be the Chemist" National Challenge, where Azelis was an Innovation Sponsor. 🌎Out of the 17,000 students that participated around the United States and Canada, five teams of middle school age students advanced to this final stage, with an opportunity to pitch their innovative start-ups. 🌳EnViridis were this year's winners, consisting of a group of students from Washington. They came up with innovative green energy solutions using biochemistry to reduce carbon emissions. 🎉Congratulations to all the teams who participated, and we come away inspired by the next generation of innovators! #weareazelis

🤝 Azelis is pleased to announce a new distribution agreement with BASF, an industry leader in the development of sustainable high-quality nutrition ingredients. 🥤 Effective immediately, Azelis will distribute BASF’s range of emulsifiers, Medium Chain Triglyceride (MCT), phytosterol ester and Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), commonly used in bakery, beverage, and nutrition enhancement in retail and food service.
