I was delighted to attend #BIG2023 organised by Bpifrance, the French public investment bank.
The event gathers each year more than 2 000 French entrepreneurs and CEOs.
“What is your ultimate pride?” I was asked.
I could have talked about my family. My company. Or even #AntoineDupont who’s creating pride in all the French rugby fans following the #RWC2023…
Thinking about those examples, I wanted to share personal stories underlying one personal conviction :
>> Pride is only true when it is shared.
Nicolas Dufourcq, Bpifrance CEO underlined it, in his introductory speech.
We are only proud when it is collectively shared.
>> This is a lesson forged on the basis of over many years of friendship with Pascal Rey Herme. With whom we created and developed a unique leader in medical and security services worldwide, creating a new industry itself, and redefining the duty of care of companies for their employees.
>> This is a lesson we breathe and live everyday at International SOS with our 14 000 employees worldwide, mixing the best of their medical, #logistics and #security expertise to find answers to tough or, even seemingly, impossible missions. We are proud to save lives.
>> A nation cannot be proud alone. The network of CCI France International is the best example, facilitating and enabling French entrepreneurs to start their entrepreneurial stories abroad.
>> This is also demonstrated by a personal conviction embodied through educational projects carried out by the Collège Français Bilingue de Londres (CFBL) and the Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill, combining the best of English #education and French education (nurturing pride, critical reasoning, collective work, fit for the digital age generations).

Our Innovation Broker Johanna Rohrhofer was in #Tallinn at the 1st EUCAPNetwork workshop 'national networking for innovation'.
The EU Cap Network is part of the EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), which determines the distribution of funds that flow into agriculture and rural development.
At the event, Johanna spoke about Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS) in Austria, which will be further developed to foster innovation and knowledge flows.
AKIS is not a specific institution or a singular project, but rather the broad innovation ecosystem of actors that already exists and is constantly being expanded. New challenges and tasks in rural areas are solved through improved dialogue and cooperation between the various stakeholders.

Sitting in the Graebel Singapore office and reflecting on the last few days - what an incredible experience at the ATMA and ERC events, as well as the Graebel Partner Summit 2024 this morning. Despite the current challenges facing the global mobility market, I can't help but feel a profound sense of optimism.
As I gaze out the window at the bustling city skyline, I'm reminded that even in the midst of uncertainty, there is a bright light shining ahead. The global mobility industry may look different, but it is undoubtedly full of untapped potential and possibilities.
Together, alongside our partners and clients, I believe we can overcome the obstacles and unlock new avenues for growth. So let's lean into the excitement of this evolving landscape and continue pushing the boundaries of what's possible in global mobility.

As an long term investor in both regions, it is great to see the strong commitment and continued integration of ASEAN and Australia, including the establishment of a 2 billion Australian dollar ($1.3 billion) fund to boost trade and two-way investment with Southeast Asia.
Australia's two-way trade with ASEAN was more than AU$178 billion in 2022, larger than that with Japan or the U.S., while two-way investment between the bloc and Australia was AU$307 billion.

Innovation Zero was a wonderful opportunity to take the lay of the Net Zero land across the UK. Amid a policy to and fro on the eve of local elections, we heard from entrepreneurs and SMEs working in every aspect of the low-carbon transition – although the UK is still heavily weighted towards Energy first and everything else later!
Many SMEs were worried about being lost in the "valley of death" between incubation with the likes of Innovate UK and the first steps of scale and commercialization with VCs. Everyone wants consistency from policymakers in order to have the confidence to invest, and a key challenge for the next government will be enabling patient capital to find its way to high-potential companies that are not going to deliver huge investor returns in a short time frame.
That said, we also learned more about initiatives like Bristol's City Leap initiative, which is already injecting nearly £500m into low-carbon infrastructure thanks to a public-private partnership with Ameresco. We think Bristol might be an interesting next stop for Netting Zeros when we get back on the road.
