Crisis communications is not just a C-level executive thing. Here's an example of how to do it. If you make a blatant mistake, step up as the leader and apologise PERSONALLY and, more importantly, SINCERELY. Guga, whom many of you may know from social media, lets his staff partake in the apology but he does it WITHOUT shifting the blame unto them. Sure, he probably does it out of fear of being cancelled, as popularity on social media is fickle, but that doesn't matter as long as the apology comes off as sincere. (Even Uncle Roger gives Jamie Oliver a compliment, albeit slightly backhanded, in the comments.) #crisiscommunications #strategiccommunications

What an amazing interview, a must watch! Dan Cathy, Chik-Fil-A chairman and son of Truett Cathy (Chick-Fil-A founder) shares his story growing up, how the company was founded, their road to growth and the Christian Biblical principles implemented in his daily life and in every Chick-Fil-A branch nationwide that has led to their overwhelming success. Current highest growing fast food chains nationwide: 1. McDonalds 2. Starbucks 3. Chick-Fil-A I was glued to the tv watching this, absolutely amazing interview 🙌🏼🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Keys for success: Customer service in front of the counter is a refiection of the customer service behind the counter - Your character and how treat others & deal with things in your own personal life (loved this! 🙏🏼💕) We are called to extend love, grace, forgiveness, kindness and compassion to others- Those are the true attributes of leadership 🙏🏼🙏🏼 The fruit - It leads to tremendous loyalty from your employees and those you encounter 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 (This was my favorite exerpt from the interview ❤️) (He shared how his dad dealt with and helped an employee who was an alcoholic when he was growing up) The 3 Ms: 🔹 Master - Who is your Master in life. 🔹 Mate - Find your life mate/partner. 🔹 Mission - Know what your life mission is. Another principle is based on Mathew 5:41: “And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.” Always do more than what’s expected of you, go above and beyond 🚀 Loved this as I’ve always been taught to do this, but never realized it was based out of this Biblical verse 💡 His closing principle: “We all need to live a purpose driven life. Our corporate purpose is to glorify God by being a good steward of all that is entrusted to us and have a positive impact on all those who come into contact with Chick-Fil-A” ~ Dan Cathy #Chick-Fil-ASuccess #Chick-Fil-AStory #DanCathy #tonyrobbins #Godlyprinciplesforsuccess #Theimportanceofrest #Keysforsuccess https://lnkd.in/gnrv_xEv

Agility journies are never easy. From new technologies to improved ways of working, there is always something changing. When I face challenges, I like to reminisce on my Agility Journey. I will never forget the first product launch I had the pleasure of being involved with. Along with never forgetting the many team members that supported me and challenged me to be better. It really shaped me into who I am today. The video the team created when I took a mobility opportunity reminds me of the value I provided our product and reminds me why I enjoy being a change agent. Agilist’s surround yourself with positive energy, recognize the challenges, recognize the wins and celebrate it all! https://lnkd.in/eTWTKEGh

It is so simple to standout amongst the crowd. Here are twenty simple ways to stand out that require no special talents: 1. Hold the door open for someone and smile when you do 2. Look in someone’s eyes when you say hello 3. Send a complimentary text to someone out of the blue 4. Send a handwritten to note 5. Tell someone when they do something you enjoy 6. High five a co-worker 7. Use their name when you speak to them 8. Give encouragement to your direct leader 9. Give precise praise to a member of your team 10. Ask a friend about their children - by name 11. Help someone pick up stuff if they drop it 12. Take on a task at work that a colleague usually does 13. Let someone merge in front of you 14. Smile at people who walk by you 15. Ask a colleague how you can help them 16. Include surrounding colleagues in a conversation instead of ignoring them 17. Tell someone a joke 18. Tell someone what you like about how they work 19. Pass along a resource that you find helpful 20. Listen to people without planning your response while they are still speaking If you read this and think…”These are so simple they wouldn’t make me stand out!!” …my question is when was the last time these things happened to you?! We are all capable of contributing positively to the world!

Let's face it: life is a roller coaster, full of ups and downs, and we can all stand to learn from how other people navigate life's challenges with fortitude and grace. I thoroughly enjoyed the article by journalist and former The Drum presenter Julia Baird, talking about how people get by and endure. Check out her article "'Seven times down, eight times up': When life is hard, how do we go on?", via the link. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gDCF9392
