Carter DeLuca Partner Edward (Ned) Meagher has been with our firm since 2002. Ned has decades of experience in all phases of U.S. and international patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright prosecution. Based in our Texas office, Ned specializes in building IP portfolios for clients in the electromechanical arts, software design, IoT, and control systems industries. He is also involved in managing and licensing IP assets for emerging business clients. Ned’s interest in science and mechanics led him to earn a B.S. in applied physics from Providence College and a B.S.M.E. in applied physics and mechanical engineering from Columbia University. Knowing that the patent field offered the opportunity to utilize his scientific expertise, Ned pursued a career in law and earned his J.D. from Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

David has vast experience in patent development and counseling, including patentability analysis, application preparation and prosecution, cease and desist demands, and freedom-to-operate for product development. His broad experience enables him to address client needs and goals for a variety of issues. David represents corporations and individual inventors across an array of technologies, including artificial intelligence, digital and analog circuits, software, medical devices, business methods, and complex financial systems. David holds both a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Science and Engineering, as well as a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
