🚀 UK-based Bimsense raises additional funding to help companies comply with the #BuildingSafetyAct. Bimsense was founded seven years ago by Ian Yeo and Scott Pilgrim. Their platform Operance was launched in 2020 as a response to the act affecting over 13,000 'higher-risk properties'. Operance is now used by housing authorities such as Camden, Basildon and Harrow and construction firms including Kier Group, Higgins, United Living Group, Vermont Construction and Rider Levett Bucknall. The funding was raised from NPIF – Mercia Equity Finance, which is managed by Mercia Asset Management PLC and is part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund. “The Building Safety Act will bring about major changes in the construction and property industry and will drive uptake of digital technology. BAMBOO CAPITAL (BCG) TO ISSUE 80 MILLION BONUS SHARES TO SHAREHOLDERS On July 3rd, Bamboo Capital Joint Stock Company (HoSE: BCG) announced its plan to issue shares to increase charter capital from owner's equity. Accordingly, Bamboo Capital will issue 80,019,662 bonus shares to shareholders at a ratio of 100:10 (shareholders owning 100 shares will receive an additional 10 new shares). The total value of the bonus shares is over VND 800 billion at par value. The source of the issuance comes from the accumulated surplus of owner's equity based on the audited separate financial statements for 2023. The issuance is expected to take place in 2024, pending approval from the State Securities Commission. In June 2024, Bamboo Capital successfully issued 266.7 million shares at VND 10,000 per share, achieving a success rate of 99.99%. This successful issuance brought in approximately VND 2,667 billion and increased the charter capital to VND 8,001 billion. Upon completing the issuance of the additional 10% bonus shares, Bamboo Capital's charter capital will rise to over VND 8,800 billion. These successful issuances help Bamboo Capital enhance its capital capacity, supplementing funds for business operations, and align the capital with the current asset value owned by the Group and restructure the debt-to-equity ratio. This benefits shareholders in the long term as Bamboo Capital accelerates its large-scale projects. H2O Innovation (TSX:HEO) shares surged on Wednesday after the water solutions company announced that it is being acquired by New York-based private equity firm Ember Infrastructure in a transaction that values the company at $395 million. The Québec City-headquartered company said its shareholders will receive $4.25 per share, in cash, representing a 68% premium to the closing price of its shares on October 2, 2023. This also represents a 26% premium to the stock’s 52-week high price on the Toronto Stock Exchange of $3.37 achieved on July 4, 2023. The company said Ember has committed to continue employing H2O’s executives and maintaining its head office and substantially the same number of employees in the province of Québec.
