In a first for agriculture, New Holland Agriculture IntelliSense Bale Automation uses LiDAR (light detection and ranging) technology mounted on the tractor cab roof to deliver precise navigation and to control tractor speed. The result is improved bale quality and performance, improved fuel efficiency, and a more relaxed experience for the operator. In the fourth installment of CNH’s 2024 ‘A Sustainable Year’ series learn more about how we are raising environmental awareness across Brazil. Creating long-term sustainability starts by both enthusing and informing children and young people – the future custodians of the planet – on the topic. As such, CNH Brazil supports a range of extra-curricular cultural activities at rural schools, and these focus on environmental education, diversity and inclusion, robotics, entrepreneurship, sport, and advocacy for human rights. Congratulations to our New Holland Agriculture plant in Basildon, England. This week marked the manufacturing of its two millionth tractor, a feat managed by only a handful of such facilities across the world. The two millionth unit is a 225hp T7.225, one of the most popular T7 models produced at the Basildon plant. It has received a striking celebration livery comprising ‘candy blue’ body panels, New Holland silver and black graphics featuring the Union Jack flag of the United Kingdom, and a ‘2,000,000 Basildon Tractors’ logo, plus a New Holland leaf bonnet top. Good design, based around the needs and comfort of the operator, improves machine buildability, versatility and productivity. David Wilkie leads the CNH industrial design team: ‘Everything you see and touch on a CNH machine has been designed by somebody. We are looking to make a difference, to create so much more than just a machine.
