As we navigate the intricacies of our professional lives, it's essential to find those small moments of joy that can brighten our workdays. February is celebrated as National Snack Food Month, a delightful opportunity to reminisce about the simple joy of a delicious mid-day treat. Amidst the deadlines and meetings, let's take a minute to appreciate the culinary companions that fuel our productivity 🥨. Office snacks often become the unsung heroes of our daily grind. Whether it's the classic biscuit alongside a cup of tea 🍵 or a handful of nuts offering that much-needed energy boost, these small consumables play a pivotal role in our workplace wellbeing. As we acknowledge National Snack Food Month, it becomes an opportune time to consider how these snacks can foster a sense of camaraderie and comfort within the office environment. In honour of this delectable month, I'd love to hear about your favourite office snacks. Share with me the treats that make your workday just a little bit more pleasant. Together, let's celebrate the little things that keep us going ☕🍪🥜🍇🧀. #NationalSnackFoodMonth #WorkplaceWellbeing #OfficeSnacks #vetro #vetrorecruitment

Pushing people back into cramped offices or schools without proper consideration for indoor environmental quality is a recipe for disaster. Some Stakeholders are resisting evidence-based monitoring, which could lead to a range of issues, from discrimination to sexual harassment and rising energy costs. It's imperative for businesses and schools to prioritize a safe and healthy environment for all employees and students, addressing concerns related to indoor environmental quality and implementing policies to prevent and address harassment effectively. Neglecting these issues can result in decreased productivity and foster a toxic workplace or school culture.. Those who resist measurement often struggle to effectively manage indoor environments where healthy humans take 12 to 20 breaths per minute.

This should happen in all industries and not just in the care sector. So much can be learnt.
Three months ago I spent a week working as a support worker. The blog below sets out why I did it and what I learnt. I’d recommend every senior manager do it - you’ll have a wonderful time and learn so much!

Notes from a Support Worker ✒️ Our Support workers focus on supporting clients to choose and access activities, including daily tasks, skill development, community engagement, and achieving personal goals. But what is it like to do this type of work? We asked our staff what their favourite aspects of the role are, and this is what they said: "I believe being a support worker is all about giving others opportunities to achieve goals and helping to improve the lives of others. The most rewarding part is when a worker can see their clients gaining confidence in themselves, even in the smallest ways."-D "The most rewarding part is seeing our clients having fun, laughing and smiling and enjoying themselves while we support them."-Fiona M "The best part is that we are changing lives filling hearts creating smiles for both the worker and client"- Sylvia S Are you a support worker? What do you think is the best part of the job? #SupportWorker #ClientFocused

What an amazing story about how the right job for someone can connect them with a community of friends and colleagues to be a support system and open up new opportunities and experiences! Who said that all people with Developmental Disabilities want to work in food service or cleaning hotel rooms? The issue with employment is taking the time to find the right job for each individual person based on their individual interests (and not accepting a "volunteer" position if they'd normally pay someone else to do the job, but I'll save that rant for another day 😉). Additionally, this is another example of the great work that DSPs do for menial wages! #raisetherates #contactyourlegislators
This worker though. Story told by Marvin George from Job Path NYC.
