Proud! The end of the year is a good time for reflexion and learnings. I started working for a schedule up company called Heliox. Heliox is actually a gas, used for technical diving, to energize the diver; but the company turned out to make electrical charging infrastructure for the more heavy means of transport. Therewith Heliox is not only a start-up company scheduling through, it is also operating in a start up part of a new combined industry: electrical refueling. Having survived so far strengthens us to set the directions in the market. The exciting part of working in a schedule up environment is, that there is no grounds to firmly stand on. We as a team Heliox Energy, Heliox Automotive and Heliox Leistungselektronik guide the developement teams to meet market expectations, while management and developement throw us back the reality of our current possibilities. During the learnings of this year, confronted with all sorts of limitations, I noticed myself to become more and more proud. We did not win every tender, we did not have everything to satisfy our (potential) customers, and we were not able to offer a full range product. We are simply not perfect… But Pride is built on what you are good at. It indicates the foundation of your selfworth. And that I found within Heliox. Knowing our imperfections, many of us decided to stay for the same reason. Where there is imperfection, there is room for growth, for us as a company, for us as a team, for each of us as an individual. It keeps us moving forward and makes Heliox what it is today: energizing! The beauty is, that all that energy comes from within, and my Pride therefore is not only for the personal growth I made this year, but even more for all Helioxer worldwide at Heliox working on our continuous growth. Recognizing where we are not perfect and defining our room to grow, we had an excellent 2023. Knowing that we have it all in ourselves, what ever, whom ever, when ever how ever coming to us in 2024 can only bring us more room to grow. Thank you Michael Colijn, David Aspinwall, Jeroen den Boer, Jasper Konings, Stephen Wood MBE, Christoph Liehr, Pon Paulraj, Geert Willemse and last but not least strategy and growth director Meta van Veghel for thriving leadership in 2023! https://lnkd.in/eZHmXzQd

Hello LinkedIn! 🇩🇪 As we reflect on history, it's important to celebrate and honor the profound transformations that have shaped our world. Germany, often referred to as the cradle of the Reformation, holds a special place in the history of change and progress. The Reformation, sparked by Martin Luther's 95 Theses in 1517, was a pivotal moment in history that challenged established norms, fostered religious freedom, and paved the way for countless social, political, and cultural shifts. Fast forward to today, Germany continues to be a hub for innovation, progress, and transformation. Whether it's leading the way in renewable energy, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, or promoting diversity and inclusivity, Germany exemplifies the spirit of continuous reformation. 🌍 Let's celebrate the spirit of reform that is still alive and well in this great nation! Whether you're in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, or anywhere else, remember that positive change starts with individual actions. So, I invite you to reflect on your own journey of reformation, be it in your career, personal life, or community involvement. How can you be a catalyst for change and progress? Let's continue to build on the legacy of reformation and contribute to a brighter future for Germany and the world. 🌟

Check out our very own Eran Kampf, Director of Engineering, at this year's Civo Navigate! Twingate Networks have been deployed across 50+ countries worldwide, and we now support over 1B connections every month 🤯 But even with that level of scale, we keep our reliability at over 99.9% 💪 In his session Eran will take you through how we missed the mark on reliability in the past, and what it took for the team to get to consistent 99.9%+ reliability. If you just can't wait for more Civo + Twingate content, you can check out this blog to learn how our partnership enables you to instantly lock down your K8s clusters 👉 https://lnkd.in/e6BsUcJM

We had a blast hosting the CampusOS #Plugfest at our Science Tech Space last week! CampusOS aims to consolidate an overview of the different technical components used to realize open and modular #5G #CampusNetworks. The goal is to provide a catalog of technical building blocks for the realization of specialized campus networks and to develop tools for dimensioning, planning, network management and optimization. Some of our Plugfest highlights were the presentations on the achieved testing objectives: 💡 Validation of interoperability of open RAN solutions 💡 Testing of advanced features for smoother deployment 💡 Demonstration of seamless interoperability 💡 Testing of functional components and interfaces 💡 Testing of end-to-end scenarios Collaboration lies at the heart of #CampusOS & we are grateful for having the best partners and satellite projects in this endeavor: EANTC AG, highstreet technologies, Kubermatic , Fraunhofer IPK, Rohde & Schwarz, Siemens, Hochschule Augsburg, Hochschule Emden/Leer, Xantaro #MAVERIC, YUMA Technologie GmbH 5G++ FlexiCell. Stay tuned: The next CampusOS Plugfest is scheduled for Q2/2024 and we look forward to sharing more insights with you. 👉 https://lnkd.in/enK_hPfc

In this clip Clayton Christiensen talks about how Asus was able to slowly develop as one of the largest manufacturers of computers by providing manufacturing and logistics services to Dell. It started from cheap components but by the end Asus was making the final product and Dell was just slapping on their brand name. For Asus, it was more profitable to enter the manufacturing business and for Dell it was better to exit it and focus elsewhere. Christensen explains that much of east Asia and India has seen great economic growth because of this strategy. I am sharing this here because a few days ago a colleague told me a similar story. A local surgical instrument manufacturer, had shifted their business model. instead of manufacturing the instruments themselves they would buy them from Vietnam, polish them in Pakistan and then sell it to clients in Europe. For the Pakistani manufacturer it was more profitable to get out of the manufacturing business and for the Vietnamese business it was better to get in. So what's the right strategy? Chasing capital or developing capabilities? Or are they not exclusive?
