In 2024, Movin'On Connect is renewing its commitment to the ambitious vision set out by the European Green Deal. To tackle the objective of carbon neutrality by 2050, a host of legislative measures must be taken comprising initiatives that address climate, environment, energy, transport, industry and sustainable finance themes, all intimately interconnected. The European Commission stresses "the need for a holistic and cross-sectoral approach in which all relevant policy areas contribute to the ultimate climate-related goal". As a business-led, multimodal and cross-sectoral ecosystem, Movin'On is perfectly aligned with this strategy. Therefore, we are proud to announce our collective commitment throughout the year to achieve the goal of low-carbon European land transport. This is in line with the objectives set out in the "Fit for 55" package for 2030 and with the call for "Fossil-Free Transport" from our long-standing institutional partner SLOCAT Partnership on Sustainable, Low Carbon Transport. I invite you to discover the themes we have collectively defined to tackle this challenge, and join us to rise to this ambition together: ⚡️ Energy 🚍 Intermodality ♻️ Circular economy 💰 Financing the transition 🚶♀️ Inclusive mobility 🚗 Supporting the transition 🌟 Sovereignty These 7 key themes are the starting point for something even bigger. Contact our teams directly to join us and rise to meet this ambition together: ➡️ Pascal GOUMAULT ➡️ Pierre-Edouard Sorel ➡️ Ulrike Ristau-Hutter Stay tuned for more… #ActWithMovinOn

🌎 I walked away from SF Climate Week (300+ events, 15k+ people) particularly inspired by the progress made between tech and government in creating a cleaner world, both immediately and in the future. Here are a few of my highlights and takeaways: ~ The Women and Climate breakfast, hosted by Michelle Li showcased a dynamic panel of women leading the charge in clean tech. Heather Reams from the female-led org, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES), mentioned her current efforts in speaking with Congress and their staff about the benefits of the IRA in red and blue districts. Additionally, Vanessa Z Chan the Chief Commercialization Officer at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), highlighted the department's deliberate approach to a clean energy transition, emphasizing a "private sector-led but government-enabled” transition. ~ The "Reinventing Recycling" Documentary screening with filmmaker Jay Windland (www.recycling.film) shed light on the myths of recycling and the innovations from BRIGHTMARK, the Ocean Plastics Recovery Project LLC, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. As the panel remarked, we are transitioning from the information age to an “environmentalist age”. Recycling is not dead, specialized individuals and cutting-edge technologies are working towards a circular economy including bioplastic recycling and identifying materials at a molecular level to capture more waste. ~ The live recording of the MCJ Collective podcast with Cody Simms featuring the CEO of Heirloom and Senator Scott Weiner, discussed the progress of the IRA and the significance of SB 253 and SB 308. They also highlighted California's role as an economic leader in addressing climate change and ongoing collaborations with neighboring states. ~ At Climate One's panel with Marie Rose Taruc from California Environmental Justice Alliance and Liane Randolph from the California Air Resources Board, discussed the transition to zero-emission in California "being affordable and available" to everyone. Progress has been made in targeting incentive programs for low-income communities. However, there remains a continued need for funding environmental justice programs, particularly in supporting significant initiatives such as the development of climate resilience centers. #SFClimateWeek #SFCW #ClimateAction #NetZero
