It was an honor to participate to the panel led by Yayoi Sekine (Head of Energy Storage at BNEF), with co-panelists Vanessa Z Chan (Chief Commercialization Officer, Director of the Office of Technology Transitions at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE); Janet Lin (Senior Vice-President, Strategy, Panasonic); and Celina Mikolajczak (Chief Battery Technical Officer, Lyten). Key points: reducing the cost of EV batteries and scaling-up processing of battery materials in North America are critical to meeting the demand for affordable EV, the only EV segment now growing. OneD's SINANODE is the only one that combines large-scale inexpensive silane gas to adding nano-silicon to EV-grade graphite already qualified with EV cell makers. Together with Koch Modular, we are designing the largest silicon-graphite combined factories in North America (phase 1 = 20,000 tons/year; phase 2 = 40,000 tons/year; at lower cost than any other silicon anode technologies). #evbatteries
