September 2023 No Common Sense Safety and environmental issues are a major consideration in every business. So why is it then that despite having training, policies and procedures accepted and in place within our industries now for decades, we still have very basic incidents that occur? 🔎 "What I want from each and every one of you is a hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area", (Deputy Marshal Samuel Gerard, AKA Tommy lee Jones). 📲 Yep, it just a matter of time before Reliability training finds you, so you might as well just call Eruditio before it's to late. #reliability #engineering #maintenance #operations #traininganddevelopment #assets

How I helped a fish feed factory in Northern Norway, Fix 4 industrial burners in 4 days! Saving them thousands in Fish feed. In 1996 I started my role with Aeroglide Corporation and was living in Raleigh North Carolina whilst I was trained to conduct drier evaluations and to run the European office spares department. At the time I was still Corgi gas registered engineer and approved to work on industrial burners, the kind that sounds like a jet engine taking off when you ramp them up to a full flame. Colleagues had been working on a site in Northern Norway, way above the Arctic circle installing a new Drier in a fish feed factory. Yes, it does stink. For weeks and weeks. The old machine had been removed to install the new Aeroglide Drier. They had allowed three weeks of stock to complete the works. Local contractors had done all the site wiring and our guys couldn’t get the burners to fire up. There were only 7 days of stock left before they couldn’t supply customers. A really critical time for their business and Aeroglide’s My manager came to me and said, Neil, I have a proposition for you. We would like you to go home tonight (Thursday), spend the weekend at home and then fly to Norway on Tuesday and stay there until the Drier is running. I thought for all of a second before jumping at the chance to cut my training stay short by 2 months. After quick goodbyes I was on the flight home that very night, wondering what I had let myself into. I had an amazing weekend that went far too fast. I arrived in Stokmarness late Tuesday evening after 4 flights, it was 10 pm and still daylight 🤪my body was already struggling to get onto UK time from a 5-hour time shift. Frankly, I didn’t know if I was coming or going, I was completely knackered. It turned out telecom engineers had wired the machine. Oh shit…… 3 days of stock remaining 🤯 time for some focused 🧐fault finding 🔍 Don’t get me wrong, they are great at their jobs. No cable numbers or markings, just the faint numbers on the multicore cables, of which there were hundreds. By working systematically and methodically, I identified each multi-core cable (50 cores), I then set about re-marking every cable with colour-coded numbers. 1500 cables that had to be quickly identified. I had the first burner up and running on day1, which was one of 4. The first is always the hardest, then you get a method and work faster and more effectively. After 2 days I had all 4 burners fully operational. On day 3 on-site, we started to produce commercially viable fish feed 🎯target well and truly achieved. They had 1 day of stock left, major disaster averted. Their new $1.4m Drier was producing extremely high-quality products with better moisture control than had been promised, increasing yields and profits. Why is this story relevant……. Any problem can be fixed if you approach it with a calm head.

Sharing stories that inspire you, your teams, and the heart of your organisation to lead an inspired life
As much as I loved my career offshore, one thing I don't miss being part of a drill crew, is the close bond and safety procedures we had to endure whilst drilling a section of hole, we'd often need to visit the toilet together to reduce time lost and ensure those KPIs were all green. poo partners are not just an effective time saver, you only need one flush which conserves water, and builds up a connection of love, trust, and societal bonding. This simple engineered system gave us the belief in each other, that when the shit hits the fan. You're mate has your back. introducing the flush friend hydro torquer. the most secure and holistic approach to offshore sanitary safety. As we approach the dynamic shifts in energy effectiveness this modernised system will turn your savage, bearded drilling warriors into the most compassionate, caring, planetary angels the oceans have ever known. Don't take my word for it, ask us for details and we'll have our poopeople send out our 376 page slide deck of technical 💩 for you to peruse over while you yourself sit inside the ancient porcelain prisons that have ancient scaffolder hieroglyphics strewn across the woodchip walls. No more worrying who wrote about your dad's best mate leeroy who is keeping your onshore slippers cosy. No more solitude sanitary dates. This is about respite, wellness, and poo pleasure. 💩 the only things a crew crave in these modern times. DM us for the sales call and super long intro that comes via Skype call over 2.4hrs of us describing the features and benefits and then another 32 messages about why we can save you time and provide all the details of how great we are. look forward for your reply. that's enough Internet for today.

Very interesting recently amended statutes regarding the ability to use 2-4 family investment properties to get up to 4 kids into the district that it resides in ie. Clayton, MO. From the Missouri.gov site: 2) For all school years beginning on or after July 1, 2023, any current owner of residential real property or agricultural real property or a named beneficiary of a trust that currently owns residential real property or agricultural real property and that pays a school tax in a district or districts other than the district in which such current owner or current beneficiary resides may send up to four of such owner's or beneficiary's children to a public school, excluding a charter school, in any district in which such owner or trust pays such school tax. For purposes of this subdivision, "residential real property" shall not include any multifamily residential property which exceeds four units. An owner or a named beneficiary of a trust that currently owns residential real property shall not be permitted under this subdivision to send their child to a district outside of the county in which they currently reside. Such owner or beneficiary shall send thirty days' written notice to all school districts involved specifying which school district each child will attend. Such owner or beneficiary shall also present proof of the owner's or trust's annual payment of at least two thousand dollars of school taxes levied on the real property specified in this subdivision within such school district and ownership of the specified real property for not less than the immediately preceding four consecutive years. Neither the resident nor nonresident districts shall be responsible for providing transportation services under this subdivision. The school district attended shall count a child attending under this subdivision in its average daily attendance for the purpose of distribution of state aid under chapter 163, except that such nonresident students shall not be counted in the district's average daily attendance for the purposes of determining eligibility for aid payments under section 163.044 Interesting ramifications and potential ways to capitalize PM if you want to discuss. #WeissRealEstate #Celebrating20years #DielmannSothebysRealty

What makes Metric UK Boiler Hire unique? Our Boilers All our boilers are either towable or delivered in a transit size van. 99% of our competition use containers that are delivered on a flatbed thus requiring a “high risk task” as they must be lifted off using a crane or Hiab. Some areas also require the hire of a forklift as you cannot physically get the HGV near where the units need siting. All this incurs additional cost to the client. We can provide all gas fired plant which connects onto the sites existing gas supply. 99% of our competition supply oil fired, which is more expensive and requires regular fuel deliveries. This also adds the environmental risk of fuel spillages and storage. At the end of the hire period the hirer must also pay to have the fuel cell emptied at their cost. Free Site Survey & Quote Metric UK Boiler Hire will carry out a free site survey, providing information regarding the layout of the plant room, connection points, and the equipment required. This cuts the time spent connecting the temporary boiler unit when required. Our Location We are the only Boiler hire company with plant available and stored in the Southwest. Carbon Footprint We also offset the carbon footprint through our partnership with Moor Trees. This provides our customers with peace of mind regarding the environment. No other hirer does this.
