FLIPP Inc is seeking 3️⃣ additional renewable energy aligned Employer Partners to aid in the facilitation of its recently awarded $1,983,701 USDOL Building Pathways to Infrastructure Grant Program. FLIPP Inc developed the FACER Project under the USDOL’s Development Track; a PAID 3 week internship that incorporates and supports these core principles: 1. Strategies for ensuring DEIA, 2. Career pathways that lead to middle-high skilled employment and 3. Approaches for increasing job quality. This grant aims to develop and diversify the talent pipeline necessary to support the solar industry leading to a recognized postsecondary credential. The #ClimateTech - Young Talents competition, which aims to promote young talents with a passion for environmental protection, has started in full swing! Next week we start the first consultations with mentors, information about their availability can be found on our website. We are waiting for participants' works until April 3, but it is worth checking the consultation dates in advance – the number of scheduled meetings is limited. 🌍🌱 At #Electrum, we believe that each of us, regardless of the scale of our actions, can make a positive impact on the condition of our planet. It's worth remembering that even the smallest steps can make a significant difference. That's why we encourage you to get involved already at the local level, taking action to combat climate change and using renewable energy sources on a daily basis. 💚 ➡️ High school students are encouraged to participate in #ClimateTech - Young Talents. Participants are tasked with sharing a problem they've noticed in their immediate environment - for example, at school or in their neighborhood. Subsurface Task Force Skills Chair, Graham Goffey, spoke last month to Allister Thomas at Energy Voice. The Task Force published last month a 3 page Management Summary and Call to Action addressed at companies on all scales employing geoscientists in the energy sector and beyond. This was derived from the 2023 Task Force report 'Geoscience Skills in Crisis; energy sector perspectives and energy transition implications'. We also published a document to make it easier for companies and staff to offer internships, to undertake individual or corporate outreach and we also included details of existing mentoring schemes to enable staff to be mentored or to act as mentor.
