Here's what we've achieved so far: 🔸 We are proud to have been awarded the "Label Diversité" since 2012. 🔸 ENGIE has been a signatory of L'Autre Cercle's LGBTQ+ Commitment Charter since 2017. 🔸 ENGIE x têtu• Connect : A partnership to promote the inclusion and diversity of LGBTQ+ people. 🔸 We have introduced the LGBTQ+ Guide to raise awareness and provide information on LGBTQ+ issues within the Group. 🔸 A Gender Identity Guide has been created to foster gender diversity in our workplace. 🔸 The BEES community, consisting of 105 dedicated ambassadors, promotes DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) principles within the Group. ➡️ At ENGIE, we firmly believe that the diversity of its players is essential to drive the energy transition! #WithENGIE

J O U R N E Y 🚦🏳️🌈 Reflecting on my professional journey, I am struck by the immense growth and transformation I have experienced over the past few years. For eight years, I worked with an organization while navigating the challenges of being closeted. Seeking better opportunities, I eventually decided to leave and relocate to Gurgaon, which brought me to new and exciting professional landscapes. Returning to Mumbai after one year marked a significant turning point in my life. I was invited back to the same organization, not as an employee but as a panelist and participant in a skit, celebrating my identity on a grand scale. This invitation felt like a culmination of my one-year journey from being closeted to embracing my true self openly and proudly. 💬 I often wonder if the relocation played a role in this transformation. Perhaps it provided the necessary #distance and #perspective to understand my worth and the importance of authenticity. #Relocating allowed me to rediscover my strength and voice, empowering me to come out and celebrate my identity without fear. This journey has reaffirmed my belief in the power of embracing one's true self and the incredible support of inclusive workplaces. I am deeply grateful for the encouragement and acceptance I have received from my colleagues and peers. In the real estate industry, we hold a lot of power to the inclusiveness of cities and how the buildings cater for different needs. If we only build for the "average", which none of us really are, then we also make a decision not to address all the potential customers out there. Or lose the best potential employee who chooses not to apply. 💡 Biases are not easy to work with because our brain uses a lot of shortcuts whether we want it or not. And sometimes it feels easier to not say anything, when feeling unfamiliar with LGBTQ+ topics. Many of us grew up in a different environment, where the vocabulary and knowledge did not exist. But let's all be curious to the world of opportunities when we can learn more. As individuals, we thrive only when we feel like we belong and feel safe, both physically and mentally. All of us want to be part of the team and no one wants to feel attacked, questioned, or left out. If you think that is what you will face at a new workplace, work dinner, or party, you will choose not to go. That is essential to recognize at workplaces, too. Happy Pride Month, everyone!

🌈 It’s Pride month, and the opportunity to recognise and celebrate #inclusion and #diversity within #communities, the workplace and the construction industry. For many years the LGBTQ+ community has been working towards inclusion, representation and acceptance, and this year’s #Pride theme - ‘Reflect. Empower. Unite’ - recognises how far the LGBTQ+ community has come, and the work that is still needed to ensure inclusion. We fully support the evolution towards a more open and accepting community, and the strides that the UK #construction sector has been making in recent years to embrace diversity and encourage a more inclusive environment in what has historically been a straight, male dominated industry. Many organisations within construction are now taking steps to change attitudes and outdated perceptions to ensure employees within the LGBTQ+ community are equally respected, represented and included within their workforce. Our day-to-day business is centred around the wellbeing of people and recognising diversity is really important to us.
