The evolution of mobile networks, particularly with the advent of 5G, is set to unleash an era of unprecedented technological innovation. Nations that prioritize advanced mobile network infrastructure will be at the forefront of technological innovation. They will be better positioned to lead in the development and deployment of new technologies that can define economic and military leadership in the 21st century. While Communication Service Providers (CSPs) stand to gain significantly from investing in high-performing mobile networks, governments and regulators must play a proactive role in incentivizing such investments. According to Analysys Mason "2024 predictions for the TMT industry": step-change in #5G deployment will widen the gap in mobile connectivity between leading and developing markets. Mid-band it's the sweet spot for delivering the full 5G experience. However, Ericsson has quantified that 5G mid-band pop coverage (as of Dec 2023) presents large variations between regions, ranging from 10% to 95% —Globally, 5G mid-band population coverage has reached around 40% —China with 95% and US with 80%, are well above Europe, lagging with just 25% https://lnkd.in/gHFAZtuc

Unlike traditional public cellular networks operated by telecom service providers, private 5G networks are owned, deployed, and operated by enterprises for their specific needs. The deployment of private 5G networks is gaining traction as enterprises look for ways to leverage the benefits of 5G technology for their specific use cases. It allows organizations to have a dedicated and tailored network infrastructure to meet their connectivity needs, providing a more efficient and secure solution for certain applications.
