Unilever veteran Samir Singh will be leaving the FMCG major after 27 years. Singh is currently the chair of Unilever Asia and head of Unilever Singapore Hub. Banana chips brand Beyond Snack is looking to capture 10 per cent of the overall chips market share in India by 2026, Manas Madhu, cofounder of the company told ETRetail in an interaction. The Commerce and Industry Ministry is working on a proposal to further tighten the foreign direct investment norms in the tobacco sector to check promotional activities and curb smuggling in the segment as firms are trying to circumvent norms, an official said. Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd has received a tax demand notice of Rs 248.74 crore from the Income Tax Authority in a transfer pricing-related issue. The FMCG major said it will be challenging the order before the appellate tribunal.
