Our team, Aparna S Nair and Fida Sherin , have designed an innovative concept for sound insulation using spider web design models combined with moss farms for particulate matter pollution absorption. This demonstrates real-time biomimicry. #Biotechnologists are currently working on these bioarchitecture models. We support these innovative students in turning their ideas into reality. This hands-on program assists them in developing opportunities in biotechnology across various sectors, especially in the shelter and #construction #industry. We proudly showcase the prototyping models of their innovation at Zaara Product School under the Project Zaara Biotech LLC Bioarchitecture and Infrastructure. Now, imagine how noise reduction occurs: when #sound waves hit, noise cancellation is directed towards the structure, which is connected with a double-layer #woolen format. I was lucky enough to be asked to attend #biomimicry training by B3.8 two years ago. Learning from 3.8 billion years of nature's evolution is an enticing approach. Dr. Andrea Rossi, Nadja Nolte, Eda Özdemir and Prof. Philipp Alexander Eversmann will present their paper 'Upscaling Mycelium-based Composites: Strategies for Architectural Scale Bio-fabrication of Sustainable Building Components' at the FABRICATE 2024 Conference. We are proud to be chosen as one of the sixteen projects to be presented at the conference and looking forward to meeting everyone in Copenhagen, on April 4th! The paper was co-authored with Nazanin Saeidi, Alireza Javadian, Dirk.
