Client Development Director at System1 Research | Providing effectiveness evidence that gives marketers confidence
🌟 Happy Independence Day 🌟 Just under 250 years ago, the British were coming. Silly us. America happily won their independence in 1776 and have since become a world power, an ethnic melting pot and a fiercly patriotic nation. It's a useful reminder of the power of autonomy. "Happy Flexibility Day" doesn't have the same ring to it, does it? This HBR article talks about the power autonomy has in motivating and galvanising people: https://lnkd.in/eVgPSQ_z Our sense of control is important. People who feel in charge of their own destiny often pick a more ambitious destination. This is how we work at System1. People can work how they want, where they want. They're happier than ever before at work (see below) and the commercials don't look too shabby either. On this independence day, maybe consider how free your team feels. Before the pandemic, Chinese tour companies offered very affordable, even cheap, vacation trips to China. My wife and I took advantage of these. Now that China has dropped visa requirements for Americans visiting China, Chinese tour companies should once again offer cheap tours and bring many more Americans to China. This is the only way to erase Americans' ignorance about China and increase their understanding. This will improve China-US relations.

Freedom Isn't Free, But It's Worth Celebrating. July 4th isn't just about fireworks and barbecues. It's a day that symbolizes something much bigger - the freedom and opportunities that so many of us cherish today. Many of you might not know this, but my journey started across the pond in England. Transitioning from the UK to the US, I've experienced firsthand the unique liberties and opportunities that America offers. This transition has not only allowed me to grow personally but also professionally, in ways I never imagined. Living in the US has taught me the true value of independence and the importance of fighting to preserve it. It's a reminder that our freedoms, often taken for granted, are treasures that countless people across the globe can only dream of. This Independence Day, let's not just revel in the celebrations. Let's take a moment to appreciate the freedoms we enjoy, the opportunities at our doorstep, and the sacrifices made by so many to make this possible. Reflect on what freedom means to you. Share your story. How has living in America shaped your dreams and aspirations? Let's celebrate independence, not just as a day on the calendar, but as a cornerstone of our lives. Happy Fourth of July! #independanceday #freedom #opportunity

You are not free in America until … When they say America is a free country, it means America gives you the freedom to earn your freedom. This profound realization changed my life. In the early 90s, I found that life in America wasn't very different from India—everyone was an employee. My mentor once said, 'You're not free until you're financially free,' and that struck a chord with me. Back then, my wife and I would wake up at 5:30 am in the dead cold of Chicago. She would drop me at the train station before heading to work herself. It took me over an hour and a half each way to get to the office. I'd come home exhausted, with no time to play with my kids, sleep early, and repeat the cycle the next day. You don't come to America and become free immediately. Why? Because you're not free until you have ownership of your own time. For us, the goal was clear: how can we become financially free and buy back our time? This journey taught us the true essence of independence. This 4th of July, I encourage you to reflect on your journey and write gratitude's for being in this incredible country. Let's celebrate the freedom to pursue our dreams and the opportunities that come with it. 👉 Follow Dr. Kanth Miriyala, Ph.D. for more inspirational stories and life-changing lessons! #IndependenceDay #FinancialFreedom #TrueFreedom #LifeLessons

One passion of mine, which I am sure you are aware of, is #Cultures. I love how our cultures are defined by the community we exist in and in addition, how we form our own individual behaviours with our culture as our root. For many, we choose to exist in another culture, but still retain our roots, this is a strength, not a weakness. It is in learning to appreciate our differences that is my passion, as, without diversity, our world and each of us would lose a benefit. The learning we can take from cultures is an appreciation for someone else's world, be it, friends or colleagues. In our digital world, we have the ability to close the gaps that exist between these cultures. Cultures help us appreciate history and the struggles that others endured for what we have today. Let us always celebrate and learn from our differences. #EmbraceCulture #EmbraceUniqueness #EmbraceDifferences Independence Day, known colloquially as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States. It commemorates the ratification of the Declaration of Independence by the Second Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, establishing the United States of America. https://lnkd.in/e33sVdfu.

Happy 4th of July! As we celebrate the birth of our great nation and the freedoms we hold dear, let's reflect on the ideals that the United States of America was created to embody. The freedom to choose one’s own path and destiny, to dream, innovate, and build; the idea that no matter who you are, or where you are from, you have the right to dream, act on those dreams and achieve your dreams. It is not a guaranty of success, but a guaranty of opportunity, the opportunity to apply yourself, work hard and live a better life. Our forefathers came to America from other parts of the world to create and live a different life; not be told they had to believe certain beliefs or live a particular lifestyle. The idea that we treat everyone fairly and with the same rights they enjoyed. They fought for this independence, the right to dream and choose to believe, the right to work hard, take risks, overcome challenges, and realize their visions. America is about many different backgrounds, traditions, ways of thought and belief. It is about honoring and respecting the rights of others, even when we don’t agree with what they think. We can and should, disagree; find the middle ground, compromise. It is this principal of acceptance, compromise and working together that have taken our country from its humble beginnings as colonies, to the forefront of the world and place that people continue to want to migrate to and partake in the “Great American Experiment”. This idea is not an end, as much as it is a journey – a journey of evolution, experiment and collective achievement. Here's to freedom, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of our dreams. Happy Independence Day! #UnitedStatesofAmerica #USA #togetherweachieve #IndependenceDay #4thofJuly
