Interesting announcements from DESNZ - proposed changes to Boiler Upgrade Scheme; mandating hydrogen-ready boilers only if a positive hydrogen heating decision is made in 2026; and 👀 (probably most consequential of all) - scrapping the implementation of the Clean Heat Market Mechanism until 2025 (called the Boiler Tax in certain sections of the media). Working of Rank ORC System : Evaporator - A heat exchanger provides heat to the high-pressure working fluid and passes from subcooled liquid to superheated vapor (in the form of water or thermal oil). Turbine - The expansion of the superheated vapor is used to generate clean electricity. Regenerator - The expanded working fluid is used to preheat the high-pressure liquid at the inlet of the evaporator to increase the efficiency of the system. Condenser - It produces useful heat (in the form of water) from the condensation of the working fluid at low pressure.
