We are delighted to have received fitwel ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ certification for our most recent student housing development, Yugo St Crispin’s House, Norwich. The property is one of just 15 multi-family residences across the UK to have received three stars and rates within the top 10% of fitwel certified properties globally.
The certification reflects both the strength of Yugo St Crispin’s House’s sustainability credentials during the design and development phase, and Yugo’s ability to put #sustainableliving at the heart of their student offering, through their unique brand pillars—YugoEco, YuPro, and YuGrow.
Originally a 1970’s office block, Yugo St Crispin’s House is an example of how outdated buildings can be repurposed, refurbished, and extended to support the next generation as they embark on their higher education journey.
By retaining the existing structure, the project saved 4,700 metric tons of embedded carbon — an offset equivalent to planting roughly 188,000 new trees. Other benefits included a reduced development timeframe and a reduced impact on the local community.
